As you all can imagine, I tried a bazillion different beauty products throughout the past year. I enjoyed nearly every single item that I tried. Obviously, some were bigger hits for me than others. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites with you. I may need to do this in categories since there are so many products. I think we’ll start with mascara first.
I am always on the hunt for a good mascara. I purchase them very regularly. I have purchased inexpensive drugstore brands and very high-end department store brands. Let’s be honest though, there are some inexpensive ones that are just as good or better than the expensive choices. I was always told that mascara is one beauty product that you don’t have to spend a lot on. I definitely agree, although I’ll probably always purchase both.
Covergirl Clump Crusher and Covergirl Super Sizer are definite favorites. Both coat all of my lashes evenly without clumping (duh) and removes easily. No flaking throughout the day.
As a new rep for Avon I’ve been purchasing a lot of products for review. I had both hits and misses, especially in the mascara category. However, their Mark Lash Act mascara is one of my absolute favorite products from Avon. This is a wetter type mascara formula. I absolutely love it and will be repurchasing it often. You can read my full review HERE.
Now for a few high-end mascaras that made my favorites list for 2015.
The YSL Volume Effet mascara that came in an Influenster Vox Box for review makes my favorite high-end mascara list this year. Despite the large wand size, which was a little hard for me to work with, it gave me gorgeous lashes. Full review HERE.
Also making my favorites list for at least the past 4 years is the original Lancome Hypnose mascara. This is a “go to” mascara for me. It builds both volume and length without clumping.
It Cosmetics Hello Lashes is a great mascara. It has a ball on the tip on the wand for getting into your hard to reach lashes. No flaking throughout the day and removes easily. This mascara is what they call a 5-in-1 formula that is a volumizing mascara, conditioning lash primer, lash-enhancing serum, lash tint, and a lash comb/curler all in one product. What more could you ask for?
Lancome Hypnose is my all time HG mascara, so much so that I did not really have other favourites in 2015 – or ’14 LOL. But I just tried Nars Audacious mascara from the Sephora Lashstash and it looks like this one is going on my 2016 favourites!
Did you get the full size Nars Audacious mascara? I had a sample size and it flaked on me terribly. I just wonder if I may have gotten a bad one. And 2 thumbs up for Lancome Hypnose!! Happy New Year! Stacie xo

So many great picks here! When I have to go out and buy mascara, I usually go for CoverGirl. I feel like if the drugstore makeup aisle can do one thing right, it’s mascara. I usually wind up trying other brands in subscription boxes and such, so I never seem to run out! I used to use Lancome’s Definicils a long time ago and remember liking it for everyday. Right now I’m using Benefit’s They’re Real. People actually ask if I’m wearing false lashes when I’m wearing it, so the name fits!
Me too with the Covergirl for mascara. I think I just really like their wands. I had a sample of that Benefit mascara once and really liked it, but found it a bit hard to remove. Stacie xo

Hi Stacie! I agree with you on the Lancome Hypnose mascara also. However, since I have very sensitive eyes and wear contacts, my go-to mascara for everyday is definitely Almay One Coat Thickening in blackest black. Love that I can buy it anywhere – even in my travels 🙂 Thanks for all the great recommendations!
You are so right! The drugstore has some great mascaras and the best part is how convenient they are to purchase. I just bought a new one down here in Mexico because I had to try out a non American drugstore one and I might need to buy a backup so I’ll have it in the future. Thanks for stopping by my blog! My all time favorite will be Loreal Telescopic mascara original formula.. I also tried high end, but I think drugstore mascaras just as good.. I compared benefit roller lash with maybelline lash sensational on my blog, and I liked maybelline better:)) haven’t tried Lancôme hypnose yet, but it’s def on my list..
I think it’s great that there are so many great mascaras available at the drugstore. I haven’t used that L’Oreal one in forever! Stacie xo

SuperShock Max Mascara by Avon in black (non-waterproof) is great. I keep going back to it!
