What I Bought at the Sephora Sale

Are any of my fellow makeup addicts here today? I thought that I was going to be SO good and not shop the Sephora VIB Sale this time around. Well who was I fooling?! Haha! I already have more beauty products than I have room for. However, there were a few things that I really wanted to try based on them being used on me recently by hair and makeup artists. And I may have thrown in a foundation that made its way into Oprah Magazine’s Fall Beauty O-Wards.

My princess for a day experience. I’ll let y’all know when to be on the lookout.

Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner from IGK – This stuff smells great and worked so well on making my hair straight, smooth and glossy when Mia Santiago did my hair on the cruise that I knew I needed to buy it to use at home. She actually sprayed this on each section of my hair before she used the flat iron on it.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Shameless Youthful-Look 24 Hour Foundation with SPF 25 – This was the foundation that was used on me and recommended for mature skin by the makeup artist who did my makeup in NYC for my photoshoot a few weeks ago. This foundation is “an innovative, medium-coverage foundation with up to 24-hour wear, flashback-free SPF 25, and hydrating skincare benefits for a natural, youthful look.” I wear the shade R330 and could have actually worn a few other shades as well, depending if I want to go more red or more yellow based. I highly recommend this one, especially for my more mature friends.

Beauty Blender Bounce™ Liquid Whip Long Wear Foundation – This was the product that I bought because I’m so curious about it. It was demonstrated on the Facebook Live that Brian Underwood and Gayle King did for The Oprah Magazine Fall Beauty O-Wards last week. I went into Sephora to get color matched. I wear the shade 3.15, although I really think a few other shades would have worked just as well. It is formulated with hyaluronic acid and white birch extract. This stuff is gorgeous on. I will try to do a full review on it soon.

The smudge-proof formula provides a soft and sexy stained effect that stays put for up to eight hours.” I’m going to be getting additional shades because this has the stain effect that I love without drying my lips. Please note though, this has no plumping effect on my lips at all (but I’m okay with that).
