Ladies Holiday Gift Guide 2015

November 5, 2015

Are you ready for the holiday season?  I don’t know about you, but I don’t ever feel ready for the holidays until they’re just a few days away.  Then I panic!  I’m a total procrastinator.  I get things done best when I’m feeling the pressure.  This year I’ve already been scoping out good holiday deals, both in stores and online.  I’ve picked out some beauty items and jewelry that I think will make great gifts for the ladies on your gift list.  Many of the beauty items are limited editions and are available in limited quantities.  The good ones sell out early.  So, if there’s something that you want to buy as a gift or for yourself, don’t wait too long.

Laura Mercier Matte to Metal Caviar Sticks – This set is high on my wish list.  For $58 you get 6 of the beautiful caviar sticks that can be used as a base or eye shadow.  The set has colors that can be used by everyone.  Again, this is a set that can be given to a single recipient or broken up for several people on your gift list.

Buxom Leave Your Mark Lip Set –  Not gonna lie, I already purchased 3 sets of these lip products from Buxom.  You get 15 lip polish and lip creams total in a festive box.  You can give the entire box to one person or break it up.  Examples would be to give a lip polish, candy cane and hot chocolate to 15 of your favorite friends, coworkers or neighbors.  The set is $59 at Sephora.

This palette is sure to please all makeup lovers.  It’s the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector palette that includes the Champagne Pop by Jaclyn Hill.  It’s a 5 star product.  I’ve only heard great reviews on this one and want it for myself!  $34 at Sephora

Sephora Ombre Face Palette – An innovative blush palette with four ombré shades, four single shades, and one universally flattering luminizer.  This set has colors that will work on everyone and is a sure pleaser.  It’s limited edition and available for $34 at Sephora.

Like every other female in the country, I love jewelry from Kendra Scott as well as Stella and Dot.  Both lines have so much to offer in the way of holiday gifts.  They both have a nice variety of price points for good quality jewelry.    I have several pieces from both lines and thought I’d make a few recommendations that would be sure to please.

Kendra Scott’s Elle Earrings are probably some of her most popular of all.  They’re available in at least 30 different colors and in several different metal colors.  I highly recommend these for teens to grandmas.  I have a few pairs and love wearing them.  The price varies ($55-$65) depending on the stone that you choose.

The Kendra Scott Phara Necklace is a stunner.  It’s pretty in both the gold and silver.  My daughter has this necklace and every time she wears it I remember that I want one for myself too.  It’s perfect for all ages.  This one retails for $120.

Here’s another item that I’ve already ordered for my gift giving this year.  It’s the Sparkle Stud Earrings that are from Stella and Dot.  They retail for only $19.  They’re a great alternative to wearing your real diamond studs on a daily basis.

The Stella & Dot Renegade Bracelet is a long time love of mine.  I consider it an oldie, but a goodie!  I love to pair it with so many different styles of jewelry.  It comes in 3 metal choices too!  I believe it’s $59 retail.

Tell me what’s on your holiday wish list.  I’d love to know!

I am giving some thought to the Becca palette with the 20% off at Sephora, it’s fairly affordable. I bought a Becca Skin Perfector in Rose Gold and the shade is too dark for me so I’d love to see if the shades in the new palette are a better fit for me. The Sephora palette looks great too.

At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consisten At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consistently use a retinol product until now because I couldn’t handle the dry, irritated skin that I experienced when using them. #OlayPartner

@olay has this new Retinol 24 Starter that’s intentionally made for beginners and/or people with sensitive skin like me. I’m now able to get the “gold standard” benefits recommended by dermatologists with this gentler formula to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots and improve texture.

It’s formulated with Pro-Retinol, Triple Collagen Peptide and Aloe Vera to reveal the smoother, brighter skin that’s been unreachable until now.

And if you’re a long-time user of retinol products, they have several stronger formulas that you can check out too.

New users and those of us with sensitive skin can conveniently purchase this gentler formula at our favorite retailers or online. Give it a try. I think you’ll be as impressed as I am.

Tell me in the comments the number one goal you want to achieve for your skin.

GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking your best at any age isn’t about looking younger. It’s about looking like the best version of you.

At 61, I’m all about makeup that enhances my features, works well with mature skin, and still lets me look like me. I don’t want to hide behind my makeup, and I don’t think any of us need to. With the right products and techniques, makeup can simply bring out what’s already there.

I used all clean beauty makeup products to create a fresh, natural, polished look that feels good without feeling overdone.

If you’re a woman over 50—or 40, 60, or 70—and you’re looking for clean beauty, natural makeup for mature skin, makeup tips for mature skin, anti-aging makeup techniques, or natural-looking makeup that enhances instead of covers, this one is for you. ✨

Beauty doesn’t have an expiration date. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident.💕

Save this GRWM for your next makeup day and tell me: do you prefer a natural makeup look or something a little more glam?

As a matter of fact, I already repurchased the vitamins and prebiotics and probiotics supplement. I didn’t know Kourtney Kardashian was the owner of that brand. I only had 1 fail this time which was the terrible tasting creatine gummies. I don’t like stevia, but if you do then you may like with them.
