July BoxyCharm Revealed

July 9, 2019

It really is crazy to me how fast time goes by. It’s already time for my July BoxyCharm beauty subscription box reveal. This month is the regular BoxyCharm (as opposed to the BoxyLuxe). You can see more about my last BoxyLuxe from June in this post. As a reminder, the box costs just $21 per month for 4-5 full size beauty products that are over a $100 value. You get discounted pricing if you purchase a subscription for multiple months. Of all my beauty boxes, this one is my favorite. You can go see more about it for yourself.

The theme for the July box is Au Naturale. The box may vary slightly from person to person on what is received.

july 2019 boxy charm

The pretty card that’s in the box. The reverse side has a list of all products. I try not to peek at the card before doing my unboxings.

Butter London Natural Goddess Eyeshadow Palette – This palette is a slight stretch for me. It had my regular neutral shades with a the one brighter blue shade that’s slightly out of my comfort zone. I really need to embrace more color and experiment more. The names of the shades are fun. The quality of the eyeshadows is superb. They are highly pigmented, long-lasting and cruelty free. MSRP $32.00

Luxie Gaea 3 Piece Brush Set – This is an eco-friendly set for applying foundation and eyeshadow. I’m not too picky about my makeup brushes and this set is quite lovely. MSRP $30.00

Tarte Glitter Lip Paint – I received a sheer lip top coat in Strike Gold. It can be worn alone or on top of other lip products. I’m not a fan of glitter on my lips because it tends to hang around long after I want it to. MSRP $20.00

Koh Gen Do Spa Cleansing Water Cloths – I like these facial wipes for removing makeup. They say that the remove waterproof makeup and impurities while nourishing skin with mineral rich cleansing spa water. I will probably save this package for my next vacation because I like the convenience factor. MSRP $17.00

Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask – This is a treatment mask meant to nourish, smooth and brighten the skin. I haven’t used it it yet. I do love using facial masks a few times a week, so I’m happy to have this one from a brand that I love. MSRP $35.00

Verdict:

Overall I’d say that the box is well worth the $21 that I paid. I like some of the items better than the others. The quality is definitely seen in this box, it’s just a matter of personal preferences of products.

Hi Stacie! Thank you for mentioning the Luxie Gaea is Eco-friendly. I think not many women out there realize how not-eco-friendly their make up really is.

At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consisten At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consistently use a retinol product until now because I couldn’t handle the dry, irritated skin that I experienced when using them. #OlayPartner

@olay has this new Retinol 24 Starter that’s intentionally made for beginners and/or people with sensitive skin like me. I’m now able to get the “gold standard” benefits recommended by dermatologists with this gentler formula to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots and improve texture.

It’s formulated with Pro-Retinol, Triple Collagen Peptide and Aloe Vera to reveal the smoother, brighter skin that’s been unreachable until now.

And if you’re a long-time user of retinol products, they have several stronger formulas that you can check out too.

New users and those of us with sensitive skin can conveniently purchase this gentler formula at our favorite retailers or online. Give it a try. I think you’ll be as impressed as I am.

GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking your best at any age isn’t about looking younger. It’s about looking like the best version of you.

At 61, I’m all about makeup that enhances my features, works well with mature skin, and still lets me look like me. I don’t want to hide behind my makeup, and I don’t think any of us need to. With the right products and techniques, makeup can simply bring out what’s already there.

I used all clean beauty makeup products to create a fresh, natural, polished look that feels good without feeling overdone.

If you’re a woman over 50—or 40, 60, or 70—and you’re looking for clean beauty, natural makeup for mature skin, makeup tips for mature skin, anti-aging makeup techniques, or natural-looking makeup that enhances instead of covers, this one is for you. ✨

Beauty doesn’t have an expiration date. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident.💕

Save this GRWM for your next makeup day and tell me: do you prefer a natural makeup look or something a little more glam?

As a matter of fact, I already repurchased the vitamins and prebiotics and probiotics supplement. I didn’t know Kourtney Kardashian was the owner of that brand. I only had 1 fail this time which was the terrible tasting creatine gummies. I don’t like stevia, but if you do then you may like with them.
