Growth Factors in Skincare Products

June 6, 2022

Now more than ever before, people are taking an interest in taking better care of their skin. As more products become readily available and different people of all ages learn how important it is to take good care of their skin, more people follow healthy skincare routines and regimes that prevent damage, fight breakouts, and reduce signs of aging!

Many of the current high-quality products on the market contain growth factors. Before you buy and use these products, it’s important to understand what growth factors are and how they can positively impact the skin to leave it in better condition.

What Are Growth Factors?

Growth factors are different substances that the skin cells naturally produce to keep skin healthy and in excellent condition. In addition, these growth factors repair the skin when it gets damaged, especially when dealing with blemishes.

It’s normal to feel skeptical when you first hear about growth factors. Unfortunately, people often confuse them with growth hormones, which you don’t typically want to have in products that you’re using. However, these are two entirely different things.

Are They Safe to Use in Different Products?

Yes, growth factors are safe components to include in skin care products, and that’s why many leading beauty brands are using them today. They’re safe and effective ingredients that stimulate the body to repair itself, thus healing the skin faster from breakouts and other inflammation/irritation.

What Are Some of the Different Types of Growth Factors?

Believe it or not, there are dozens of different growth factors commonly used in skincare products. Some of these growth factors include EGF, FGF, NGF, AND IGF. You may also notice Neurotrophins listed as an ingredient in some products. Neurotrophins are also growth hormones that commonly get added to skincare products.

What Can Some of These Excellent Ingredients Do?

The growth factors work wonders on the skin. Each one can work in a different way to benefit the skin, providing it with what it needs to stay healthy, youthful, and glowing. But, first, it’s good to use as an aging fighter. If you’re trying to fight some of the most common signs of aging, you want to search for products that contain growth factors. When doing so, you can make sure that you’re preventing fine lines and wrinkles while reducing the appearance of the ones you currently have on your skin, if any.

While the growth factors in these products are significant to use as a preventative measure when you don’t want to have wrinkles and fine lines, they can do much more than that. Along with fighting common signs of agings, they hydrate the skin to leave it moisturized and feeling good. Dry skin often leads to clogged pores and breakouts, but these products can prevent dryness from happening in the first place. The growth factors also contribute to cell turnover, ultimately helping individuals shed dead skin at a faster pace to keep skin looking its best.

Is It Possible to Use Growth Factors with Other Products?

When you buy products containing growth factors, you may wonder if you can continue using other products that you’ve tried, tested, and enjoyed. Don’t worry! You won’t have to ditch your favorite facial cleanser anytime soon. It’s fine to pair the growth factors with other products in your skincare regime to achieve the healthiest skin possible.

For example, some people like pairing the growth factors with vitamin C because they’re already using the vitamin C on their face and want to make it even more effective. However, while you can safely use growth factors with vitamin C products, it’s also safe to use with other commonly used skincare products, such as retinol and hyaluronic acid. Many specialists recommend pairing the growth factors with other antioxidant products to benefit the skin even more.

Do Any Leading Brands Sell Products Containing Growth Factors?

Yes, many popular brands in the beauty and skincare industry already sell products that contain growth factors. Some of these brands include Estee Lauder, UNBLEMISH, and Dermalogica. However, there are plenty of others. I’ve written about the brands Factor Five and Osmosis here on the blog in the past. In addition to leading names in the industry, there are also other brands that aren’t as well-known offering high-quality products that work wonders, too. I’ve tried many different growth factor products throughout the past 10-15 years or so. Below are some very reputable ones.

Should I Start Using Growth Factors?

The decision is yours to make, but growth factors offer a lot of benefits that many people don’t realize until later in life. So, if you’re trying to make a difference with your skin by getting it to look healthier and more youthful, you may want to consider using some growth factors on your face. It all depends on what you’re trying to achieve with your skincare routine.

Do Your Research and Choose the Right Products to Use

As with anything that you plan to use, be sure to do extensive research to get a feel for what you’re going to put on your skin. The goal is to keep skin healthy and looking its best instead of causing more irritation and inflammation. With the right approach to using growth factors and a specific routine that you plan to follow with particular products, you can be sure to reap the benefits of growth factors while you keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

I’m all about the glow!✨ Just sharing how I use t I’m all about the glow!✨

Just sharing how I use the Seranova Micro Infusion Kit to take my skincare routine to the next level.💧

The kit included 2 .05 stampers and 2 vials of serum to be used a few weeks apart.

Why I love it:

It gives that fresh, radiant glow
It supports smoother, more even-looking skin
It’s so easy to use right at home

I’ll be doing my next treatment in about 2 weeks.

Think of it as giving your skin a little extra attention that it deserves.💖

Have you tried micro infusion before? Let me know your thoughts and if you’d like the details on how to purchase a kit.

What do we think of this bright color for Spring? What do we think of this bright color for Spring? #CharlieBAmbassador

I’m a fan of the color and the style. High waist, super soft, wide leg crops are my go-to style. I also have these in white that I shared in a recent reel. Today I paired them with a lightweight linen jacket for my third piece.

Both are from Charlie B. Let me know if you want my Discount Code to use on their entire fabulous website.😊

P.S. The pants are cropped length on others but longer on me because I’m a petite 5’1” and they come in lots of color options.
I’m back with another casual look. Brand new jewel I’m back with another casual look. Brand new jewelry from Julie Vos that I am LOVING for Spring. Paired with a cotton cashmere short sleeve sweater in the prettiest light blush pink that’s a big hit with everyone I know. It’s so good that I bought it in 4 different colors myself.

💖Let me know if you want DETAILS on all of it.💖
