I have such thick hair that I absolutely hate blowing it dry. About halfway through the process I give up. I heard that a new Drybar had opened in my area. I had a holiday party to attend so I scheduled an appointment to try out their “blowout” service. The cost is $40 and worth every penny to me to get a nice blow out for the party.
I scheduled my appointment using their online booking app the day before my service. I arrived at 9:58 for my 10:00 appointment. The place is beautiful! The music was really loud. However, once you’re in the chair and the dryer is on the music doesn’t seem nearly as loud. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and offered a beverage.
As you can see from the menu above, all blowouts are $40. Of course there are add-ons that you can do, if requested. This is a great deal, especially for me. Every chair in the place was filled. My stylist Addeson called my name at 10:17. All things considered, nearly 20 minutes to wait wasn’t too bad. I was whisked to a chair to discuss what I was wanting to achieve with my blowout. I asked for a basic blowout with the ends curled out a bit. We immediately went to the back of the salon for a wash and condition filled with lots a chatter.
Then my poor stylist went to work. I say “my poor stylist” because I have seriously thick and fairly long hair. I knew she’d be getting a workout from drying my hair. It took about an hour from beginning to end to get my hair perfectly coiffed. I was very impressed with everything about the service I received. My hair looks great and should stay this way for at least a week (the only joy of having such thick hair, in my opinion).
Verdict: I recommend drybar if you ever need to get a blowout. Check their website to see if they have a drybar location in your area.
*This is not a sponsored post! I just wanted to rave about my drybar experience.

Ohhh, I going to google and see if a Drybar is near me! I have fine, but I have a LOT of it, so I totally get the not wanting to blow dry your hair thing. I would love to do something like this before events, it sounds great!

I really enjoy the pampering. Yes, look it up and see if you have one. If not, you may have a similar salon. Stacie xo

I enjoyed reading about your DryBar experience and seeing hair afterwards! I always leave a tip for the stylist for my thick hair (which is a WORKOUT unless its been recently had a Mizani Relaxer) but that is on my wishlist of places to go get my hair done! 🙂

Haha! I feel the same way. The poor hairdresser gets a serious workout when working on my hair. What is that relaxer? I haven’t heard of it. Stacie xo

Mizani is African hair care brand under Loreal Cosmetics which gears to every one’s curly/wavy hair type to mild to coarse! But lately a lot of Hispanic, Bi-racial, and Thick hair White ladies are using these products because the brand focus on hair needs! I use the Butter Blend Mizani Relaxer for tame the curls/frizz in my hair type plus I use the shampoo/conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and few other products for my hair health and style!
