The greatest gift we receive is the gift to grow old. As we age, it doesn’t mean that we have to give up on beauty. Aging beautifully and gracefully is what it’s all about. You can still look great, whether you choose to apply makeup or not. I definitely (obviously) choose makeup! Makeup can help us feel our best, so it’s important to know the right way to apply it. Below are some things that I’ve learned though the years.

Using blush is fine but just don’t overdo it. Use an upward sweep for the most flattering look. If your skin is dry, find a cream blush formula such as the one below.

Use a creamy lip liner to look great. Even if your lips are dry, it will still look good, unlike when you use a dry lip liner. Match it to the color of your lipstick.

Maybelline – York Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer
Use concealer, but just a bit of it.This concealer works great and is really affordable. I also use it to highlight under the eyes and down the front of my nose.
You can find this product at all drugstores. It’s a great investment!

Find the best color match for your skin. This is one of my favorite foundations. It lasts all day without touch ups.

Pur Minerals – CC Cream Color Cosmetics
This is one of my all time favorite products for the skin. It’s a great multi-tasker since it provides a high spf, moisture, skin correction ingredients and good coverage. Be sure to find the right color for you. I wear the medium shade.

Make Up For Ever – High Definition Second Skin Cream Blush – # 310 (Rosewood) 2.8g/0.09oz
I LOVE this cream blush! It’s nice to add a cream blush rather than a powder blush at times for a dewy look. You don’t want to have too many layers of powder that are susceptible to settling in your fine lines.
