A Healthier Lipstick Choice

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been leaning toward more makeup and skincare products that are considered to be clean beauty. I’ve talked about the topic a bunch in the past few months here on the blog. I recently had the opportunity to try some lipsticks that are 100% non-toxic, natural, organic and cruelty-free from Korean brand YULIP. Their summer lineup of lipsticks are made with naturally derived ingredients without synthetic dyes or artificial colors.

YULIP was founded in 2017 by Hyesung Won, who wanted to create the safest lipstick to share with daughters around the world without worry. The lipsticks are made with safe ingredients derived from nature and are available on Amazon for $22 each. The entire lineup currently consists of 4 lipsticks and 3 lip balms.

Ingredients include: Organic Jojoba Seed Oil, Camellia Seed Oil, Seaberry oil (Sea Buckthorn oil), Organic Shea Butter, Organic Coconut Oil and Organic Evening Primrose Oil. In addition, these highly pigmented lipsticks have eco-friendly packaging. They are unscented and will leave your lips hydrated and softer from their ingredients. I received 3 of the available lipstick shades: Wednesday Fever, Sunset Pink and Angry Rose and 1 of the Lip Almighty Lip Balms in Koral.

The black tubes are the lipstick formula, while the white tube is the Lip Almighty lip balm.

Verdict of the YULIP lipsticks:

I’m very impressed with this line of lipstick and lip balms. For starters, the ingredients make the lipstick very moisturizing. I like that they’re unscented as I know that a lot of people are sensitive to scents and too many brands add scents to their products. The color stays on my lips for several hours. The darker pigmented shades even leave some color behind in a stain like effect which I personally appreciate.

This brand is highly recommended for everyone. However, if you or someone you know has allergies or extra sensitive skin, then this is a brand they need to try.

You can shop for these lipsticks right here:

Do you know if they’re cruelty-free? I see the ingredients are vegan so if they’re both, I’d consider buying because I’m into clean makeups as well

I’ve recently received a lipstick and balm and am so happy with them. The colors seem to look alike in the tube but not once they’re on my lips. And the No Fragrance is the cherry on the top of the sundae for me!

I’ve been using the NEW RoC Line Smoothing 2-Step Peel Pads, and I love how simple they are to use.

Step 1 gently exfoliates with a blend of glycolic, lactic, mandelic, and other exfoliating acids to remove dull, rough skin.

Step 2 follows with RoC’s patented Clinical Retinol plus Ectoin to help smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles while supporting your skin barrier. The best part? It takes just a couple of minutes and fits seamlessly into my evening skincare routine.

At 61, my skin feels noticeably smoother and looks brighter after using them, and with continued use they’re designed to improve texture, uneven tone, dullness, and the appearance of wrinkles.

At around $30 they’re an affordable way to enjoy a professional-inspired peel at home.

Are you as excited as I am about this new at-home dual-step treatment?

There’s something about a makeup collection that’s There’s something about a makeup collection that’s beautiful on the outside AND has a beautiful story behind it.

I’m playing with the Chantecaille Lion Collection for the first time today. The gorgeous shades are inspired by the strength and beauty of the lion and the colors of the African landscape.

But what I love most about Chantecaille is that their love of beauty goes beyond makeup. The brand has a long-standing commitment to wildlife conservation, and their lion initiatives supports Lion Guardians and their efforts to protect these magnificent endangered animals and preserve the communities that live alongside them.

And can we talk about these colors?! The warm, earthy tones are absolutely gorgeous for creating a soft, sophisticated makeup look — and yes, it’s a limited-edition collection but I’m already wishing these shades would stay around forever!

Would you wear this color story? Tell me in the comments.

I like to shout from the rooftops when I find good I like to shout from the rooftops when I find good beauty products that work well for my mature skin in hopes that others will discover them too.

Be sure to let me know if there’s anything you’ve been loving lately too.💖

Today I’m including:
•a body makeup product that helps cover, disguise and blur my dark spots from sun damage from too many years spent in the sun.

•an at-home FDA cleared fractional laser to improve the appearance of my skin and even help get rid of some of those dark spots. I’m using it nightly.

•a beautiful pink lipstick that is like happiness in a tube

•an excellent facial spf product that protects my skin when I’m outdoors. I purchased mine when I was in France.

•some tasty gummy supplements I’ve been using including a multivitamin and a gummy prebiotic and probiotic combo to keep my gut happy

•and a balm that works great for keeping my skin hydrated that I like to dab under my eyes and on the lines above my lips because hydration helps make fine lines look better/less obvious when I look in the mirror.
