Are you on a quest for more youthful looking skin? I am and I’m always up for trying most tools and gadgets that can be used at home. Let’s face it, anti-aging skin treatments at the med spa or dermatologist’s office can add up. There are some treatments that should be left to the pros, however, there are treatments that you can do at home to get firmer, younger looking skin. It can be worth it to invest in a few devices or tools to treat yourself at home and get professional results for a fraction of the price. Today I’m going to introduce you to one of Trophy Skin’s microdermabrasion devices.
I was sent the MicrodermMD device a few months ago. This device is used to:
- Buff Away Fine Lines and Wrinkles.
- Reduce the Signs of Sun Damage and Age Spots.
- Improve Skin Tone and Texture.
- Gently Exfoliate and Slough Away Dead Cells.
- Restore Radiance to Skin.
I was thrilled to give this device a try because I need help in all of the areas listed above. I was a sun worshipper in my teens through my early 40’s. I can definitely see sun damage and age spots on my face and body. Some of the previous damage or obvious signs of aging skin can be corrected or minimized with microdermabrasion, so that was what I was going for.
Microderm MD – What’s in the box?
- MicrodermMD device
- Medium diamond tip
- Pore extraction tip
- Infusion tip
- 100 pack filters
- Power adapter
- User manual
The user manual has easy to follow instructions. In addition, there is a $20 gift card to get a travel size product to help you achieve results. I thought that was a nice bonus. It’s important to read through all of the instructions to properly use the MicrodermMD device. You don’t want to risk damaging your skin. I highly recommend visiting the Trophy Skin website to watch video instructions as well. The website also has options for additional accessories and refills that can be purchased to personalize or enhance your experience.
There are different modes that can be used for your specific skin type, including auto, manual and sensitive skin. I recommend that everyone start with the sensitive setting until you get the hang of things. There are varying levels of suction that are used in each mode for the different areas of the face. It takes a little bit of practice because some areas of the face are easier to maneuver than others. In fact, I need to order an additional tip that is geared toward harder to reach areas.
The device comes with three different tips – the medium diamond tip for microdermabrasion, the extraction tip for getting rid of blackheads and the infusion tip for getting your products to penetrate deeper into the skin. I mostly use the first two tips mentioned. Because this device can be used anywhere on the body, I plan to use it on some of the sun damage/age spots on my legs soon too.
About Trophy Skin
As the owner of a medical spa in Texas, Imran Karim saw the many benefits of non-invasive beauty treatments. Women would walk in with concerns about acne or dull looking skin and in a short time walk out looking and feeling better, but those improvements came at a price. Karim started thinking, perhaps there was a way to deliver the same benefits at a better price point without a trip to the spa. He reached out to top technology experts around the globe in developing Trophy Skin’s line of accessible skincare tools that give in-office treatments a run for the money.
Verdict:
In my opinion, the MicrodermMD device is a worthy investment in your skincare routine. If you are willing to take the time to be consistent in using it, you will reap the reward of an improved complexion. The $299 investment will pay off and save you money in the long run because you really can do this at home. I feel like my skin looks brighter after using this. I need to be more consistent though and work on those brown spots on the side of my face that I hate.

I would love a microdermabrasion device to use at home. It’s essentially the cost of one medium-spa session.

Exactly!! This is a good one because the amount of suction can be adjusted to meet your own needs. I also like how transportable it is if needed. Stacie xo

I find this fascinating. In general though I’d have to force myself to use it regularly. I start using items like this and eventually stop which is ridiculous. I heard so much about Trophy Skin and this looks great for someone “older”.

Yes, it is hard to use some beauty tools consistently, especially as a beauty blogger who gets to review many different tools. This is definitely a wise investment for those who are serious about improving their skin. Stacie
