An Age-Defying Laser for Home Use

September 12, 2017

If someone told you that you can use a hand-held laser device at home to combat your wrinkles what would you say?  I’m a skeptic of some anti-aging devices that are on the market.  However, there are some that I’ve used that have really impressed me.  The Tria Age-Defying Laser is one that impressed me so much that I needed to make a video as well as write this post to tell you about it.  You can watch the video below to see the product and how I use it.

Click on the video to watch right now.

Tria Beauty age-defying laser

The Tria Age-Defying Laser is a home laser device to help reduce the signs of aging.

The Tria Age-Defying Laser is FDA cleared.  It’s to be used for a few minutes per day for 12 weeks.  It’s been clinically proven to safe and effective for treating fine lines and wrinkles and for producing smoother skin.  As we age our bodies produce less collagen.  This combined with environmental factors (such as the sun) cause fine lines and wrinkles.  This light is supposed to activate the body’s own natural collagen renewal process to stimulate the growth of new skin cells.  It doesn’t happen overnight.  You must use the device for an extended period of time to see results.

What is it?

The Tria Age-Defying Laser is a skincare device to use in the comfort of your own home to give your skin a more youthful appearance. The device uses technology to help your skin renew its collagen which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  It’s supposed to help reduce periorbital wrinkles or crows feet when used in that area.

How much does it cost?

The device retails for $495.

How do you use it?

The device comes with easy to follow instructions on the box as well as two booklets with more in-depth instructions.  It’s important to read through the booklets before use so that you understand how to correctly operate the device.

Using this hand-held laser device is simple.  Plug in the charging stand and let the device charge.  Cleanse your face.  Turn the device on and treat your face one zone at a time.  You place the laser flat against the face so that a purple light illuminates.  This is how you know that you have correct contact with the skin.  You start your treatments in the training level ( 30 seconds per zone) and increase to the next level with progressive treatments (1 minute per zone up to 2 1/2 minutes).  Slowly glide the laser back and forth across the skin.  You will hear a beep sound when you’ve treated a zone long enough and can move to the next zone.  The device automatically shuts itself off when your treatment is complete. After finishing your laser treatment you apply a serum followed by appropriate skincare products (there are several deluxe sample size products enclosed in the box).

The laser is used after cleaning the skin.  You slowly glide the laser across the face in a back and forth  or up and down motion.  The device has a built-in timer that guides you switch to the next area to be treated.  The laser automatically shuts off when a cycle is complete.

Tria age-defying skincare

Included in the box with my Tria laser were a spa-like headband to hold my hair back and several Tria Beauty skincare products including Priming Cleanser, Finishing Serum, Super C Brightening Moisturizer and Overnight Brightening Boost Facial.

What’s the verdict on it?

I am completely impressed with the Tria Age-Defying Laser. I love that I can use it in my own home on my own schedule.  Although a bit pricey, it should save me a lot of money by not going to the med spa for similar treatments.  I’m thrilled that it can be used around the eye area for treating crows feet (because who doesn’t have those pesky lines from smiling and/or squinting).  I like that I can use whatever skincare products I want before and after treatment sessions since I already have products that work well with my skin.

I feel like I started to see small results rather quickly.  The treatments are not the most comfortable at first, however I’ve gotten used to them now.  After use you may see redness of the skin and feel as if you’ve gotten a sunburn.  The sensation goes away rather fast and is eased by following up with serum and moisturizer.  You do your treatments in the evening so the redness is gone before morning anyway.  I’ll give an update of my results after the 12 week period.  I recommend giving this device a try if you’re looking to diminish some of the visible signs of aging.

Please tell me what you think of this device in the comments below.  Does the Tria Age-Defying Laser sound like something that you would be willing to try at home?

A while back my husband got me the Tria for laser hair removal (I begged for this so I wasn’t mad about this gift, ha) and I had great results with it! I’d love to give something like this a try!! I love that these devices are becoming more available to women who can’t afford or don’t have the time to visit a dr for these types of services!

I’ve only ever tried laser/IPL for hair removal. It wasn’t so bad. Now I’m scheduled for laser acne scar revision. TBH, laser scares me!

Lasers can definitely be scary. This home laser is nice because it’s not as strong as the ones at the doctor’s office. Let us know how the treatment goes. Stacie xo

I’ve always thought this sounded wonderful. Once we get to a certain age the Tria would be a great pal to have. I really like that it can be used around the eye area too since that’s where my lines are most obvious.

This sounds very impressive! I’m excited to see your twelve week results! Do you not continue with it after 12 weeks or is that just when they expect you to start seeing results?

It was fun doing highlights in my hair for a little while, but I was ready to get back to my roots. I’m thrilled with my summer hair because it looks so much healthier.🤩

I always go with what I like, not what society dictates when it comes to clothes, makeup, hairstyles and more because I think we should all do what makes us feel happy and confident in ourselves.
