Happy Super Sunday Everyone!

I hope the weather is warming up wherever you are.  We’re actually expecting a couple of days of freezing temperatures here in Texas.  We’ve had such a mild winter, that a few days of cold isn’t a big deal to most of us.  I’m sure all of the kids are crossing their fingers and hoping for a day off of school since they haven’t had a bad weather day yet this school year.  In Texas everything shuts down for an inch of ice or freezing rain.  I’m sure that sounds crazy to my friends in the northern United States.

This week I want to share a gift that I received for my 50th Birthday from my family because it was my favorite gift of all.  My daughter decorated a large mason jar with pearls and made a label for the jar that says “50 things we love about you” (signifying my 50th).  Each person in the family wrote on cardstock a thing they loved about me for a total of fifty tiny cards.  Some were heartfelt and others were funny.  I laughed so hard that I had tears running down my face from some of the funnies.  This is a wonderful gift that I will cherish forever.

I wanted to share this because you could make one of these for a gift that you might need for someone.  You could change the wording and contents put into the jar to suit the occasion.  It’s a low-budget gift that would mean more to the recipient than anything money can buy.
