Sunday Social

October 21, 2012

I haven’t participated in the Sunday Social for a few weeks but decided that today would be a good time to get back into it.  Isn’t it weird how you feel so “out of the loop” when you get out of your regular routine?

Here are the questions for this week’s Sunday Social…
1. What do you value most in life?
My health.  Without your health you have nothing.  I try to eat right and exercise almost daily hoping to be the healthiest that I can be.  I think it really does make a difference.

2. What do you think is the greatest invention in your lifetime and why?
The iPad!!  I am connected to my iPad as if it is my lifeline.  LOL!  Drives my hubby crazy.  He just doesn’t get it.  He has an iPad too but never uses it.  He prefers to be connected to his laptop.  He’s just not an Apple guy so he has no clue how great the iPad is.

3. What do you think is the secret to a good life?
The secret to a good life is having someone to share it with.  It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor.

4. What would you most like to be remembered for when you’re gone?
I want to be remembered for caring about others.  I do what I can to make other people happy, especially those who have cancer and other illnesses.  It doesn’t take much to make someone else smile.

5. What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
I am proud of my kids.  I see how caring they are to others.  They all have good morals and respect for everyone around them.

6. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
Terry Hatcher.  People tell me that I resemble her all the time.  Not sure if this is accurate, but I do take it as a compliment!  I love her!

Link up every week for the Sunday Social with Neely and Ashley.  You will be glad that you did!!

Until you got to the last one, it sounded like I wrote this! Every answer could have been mine, except I don’t look like Terri Hatcher! Come to think of it, you do look a lot alike. I knew you reminded me of someone but could never figure it out. Thanks for sharing this!

Hi Stacie! I really enjoyed reading your post. I value my health, too, and for almost 2 years our family has made significant changes in our diets to improve our health. 🙂

It good to hear that your kids are caring and respect others around them. That’s fantastic! These values are lacking these days.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by yesterday! I’ll be following along. I am obsessed with my iPhone and it drives my hubby crazy too! I fear for the day he asks me to choose between them….

Seriously though, I don’t like to spend too much time on a routine. This hair tool has been the most fun purchase for my haircare tools arsenal.

At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consisten At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consistently use a retinol product until now because I couldn’t handle the dry, irritated skin that I experienced when using them. #OlayPartner

@olay has this new Retinol 24 Starter that’s intentionally made for beginners and/or people with sensitive skin like me. I’m now able to get the “gold standard” benefits recommended by dermatologists with this gentler formula to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots and improve texture.

It’s formulated with Pro-Retinol, Triple Collagen Peptide and Aloe Vera to reveal the smoother, brighter skin that’s been unreachable until now.

And if you’re a long-time user of retinol products, they have several stronger formulas that you can check out too.

New users and those of us with sensitive skin can conveniently purchase this gentler formula at our favorite retailers or online. Give it a try. I think you’ll be as impressed as I am.

Tell me in the comments the number one goal you want to achieve for your skin.

GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking your best at any age isn’t about looking younger. It’s about looking like the best version of you.

At 61, I’m all about makeup that enhances my features, works well with mature skin, and still lets me look like me. I don’t want to hide behind my makeup, and I don’t think any of us need to. With the right products and techniques, makeup can simply bring out what’s already there.

I used all clean beauty makeup products to create a fresh, natural, polished look that feels good without feeling overdone.

If you’re a woman over 50—or 40, 60, or 70—and you’re looking for clean beauty, natural makeup for mature skin, makeup tips for mature skin, anti-aging makeup techniques, or natural-looking makeup that enhances instead of covers, this one is for you. ✨

Beauty doesn’t have an expiration date. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident.💕

Save this GRWM for your next makeup day and tell me: do you prefer a natural makeup look or something a little more glam?

As a matter of fact, I already repurchased the vitamins and prebiotics and probiotics supplement. I didn’t know Kourtney Kardashian was the owner of that brand. I only had 1 fail this time which was the terrible tasting creatine gummies. I don’t like stevia, but if you do then you may like with them.

Thanks for being here! Don’t forget to like, comment, *repost, save and/or share this post to help my content get seen by a wider community. I appreciate your support so much and you never know who else might be looking for the very thing I’m sharing today. And don’t forget to let me know if you want the LINKS!
