Welcome to Silent Monday, aka Silent Sunday #32. I got just a little busy yesterday and forgot to put this post up. Here it is a day late.
This past week was a pretty busy one. I had company for the week and for all of this next week as well… My mother in law is visiting. Any time she visits, it seems that my husband has to be away on business. I wonder how that happens. Does this happen to you too? Anyway, I’ve tried to entertain her as best I can. We’re just kind of opposites. I like to get up early in the morning, have a nice walk and then followup with Starbucks and laptop time. I enjoy lunch with my girlfriends, solo shopping and running errands most days. She’s very independent as well. She seems to love sleeping in, spends hours on her laptop and other electronics along with cat naps throughout the day. At least she does like to go do things and shop.
We did do a bit of shopping, ate lots of food and just hung out for a bunch of the week. On Saturday my husband was back in town so we all road tripped to my son’s golf tournament 3 hours away. His schools’ teams team came in first and second place. It was a fun little diversion. This next week will be the same. My husband will leave to go out of town on business for most of the week and I will be entertaining his mother. Hopefully I can just give her keys to an extra car and set her free. I’m praying for patience for myself and the rest of us this week…
So, here are a few pictures that I took this past week:
Fall is finally here! It’s slowly cooling down.
The modern-day Welcome Wagon still exists! A nice lady dropped off a basket filled with coupons and fliers for local businesses.
Our current small yard needs a lot of work. I finally hired someone to surprise my husband with a trimmed yard when he gets back from his trip. Crossing my fingers that it looks good when the work is done.
I love these new bargain shoes of mine! I bought these (and others) at Stein Mart for $19.99.
My son teeing off on day two.
A little bit of nature along the golf course.
I haven’t walked in this area in a while. I usually post a picture of this log along the trail that’s always decorated differently throughout the year.
Have a fabulous week everyone!!
i’m definitely lovin’ those shoes!!! =)
They were such a great deal and they look great on too. You need to go to Stein Mart! Stacie xo
