Welcome to Silent Monday, aka Silent Sunday #32. Â I got just a little busy yesterday and forgot to put this post up. Â Here it is a day late.
This past week was a pretty busy one. Â I had company for the week and for all of this next week as well… Â My mother in law is visiting. Â Any time she visits, it seems that my husband has to be away on business. Â I wonder how that happens. Â Does this happen to you too? Â Anyway, I’ve tried to entertain her as best I can. Â We’re just kind of opposites. Â I like to get up early in the morning, have a nice walk and then followup with Starbucks and laptop time. Â I enjoy lunch with my girlfriends, solo shopping and running errands most days. Â She’s very independent as well. Â She seems to love sleeping in, spends hours on her laptop and other electronics along with cat naps throughout the day. Â At least she does like to go do things and shop.
We did do a bit of shopping, ate lots of food and just hung out for a bunch of the week.  On Saturday my husband was back in town so we all road tripped to my son’s golf tournament 3 hours away.  His schools’ teams team came in first and second place.  It was a fun little diversion.  This next week will be the same.  My husband will leave to go out of town on business for most of the week and I will be entertaining his mother.  Hopefully I can just give her keys to an extra car and set her free.  I’m praying for patience for myself and the rest of us this week…
So, here are a few pictures that I took this past week:
Fall is finally here! It’s slowly cooling down.
The modern-day Welcome Wagon still exists! A nice lady dropped off a basket filled with coupons and fliers for local businesses.
Our current small yard needs a lot of work. I finally hired someone to surprise my husband with a trimmed yard when he gets back from his trip. Crossing my fingers that it looks good when the work is done.
I love these new bargain shoes of mine! I bought these (and others) at Stein Mart for $19.99.
My son teeing off on day two.
A little bit of nature along the golf course.
I haven’t walked in this area in a while. I usually post a picture of this log along the trail that’s always decorated differently throughout the year.
Have a fabulous week everyone!!
i’m definitely lovin’ those shoes!!! =)
They were such a great deal and they look great on too. You need to go to Stein Mart! Stacie xo
