May is Melanoma Awareness Month – My Favorite Sunscreens

May is Melanoma Awareness Month.  This weekend my brother, my daughters and I will be walking in the AIM for a Cure Melanoma Walk here in Dallas.  This is the 10th year of the walk and our 4th year participating.  We’re walking in memory of our mom and grandma who was taken way too soon from this dreadful cancer.  If you’re interested in donating to help find a cure the link is at the bottom of this post.  Thanks so much in advance!!

The keys to survival from melanoma are prevention and early detection.  Be sure to schedule an appointment with your dermatologist for annual skin exams.  It’s important to do monthly skin checks at home as well.  Know the ABCDE signs to look for.  And wear for sunscreen to prevent sunburns and sun damage from ever happening and NEVER go in tanning beds!  I’m sharing some of my favorite sunscreen with you below.  These are some that I’ve actually been using for the past few years.
