Do you ever make a purchase and forget about it until you’re doing some spring cleaning? I’m completely guilty. I’ve been trying to clean up and organize my closet and vanity as one of my New Year’s resolutions and have been discovering previous product purchases. I made a purchase over a year ago of some shave cream from Shaveworks. They call it the Pearl Souffle’.
The website describes the product as follows:
Luxuriate in this lusciously rich shave cream for her, with capislow to minimize the appearance of hair growth, phytic and glycolic acid to exfoliate and reduce ingrown hairs especially in the bikini area, and mediacalm complex, for superb moisturizing benefits. It moisturizes and nourishes for smooth, silky skin. It is enriched with a light blend of lavender, ginger, and vanilla, along with a combination of various herbal and botanical extracts to help heal and soothe the skin.
You can purchase the full size product. Or, you can do what I did and purchase the sampler pack which comes with a deluxe size shave cream and their Cool Fix Targeted Gel. The gel is supposed to prevent ingrown hairs, razor bumps, razor burn, and redness. It’s a unique formula for post-shaving or post-waxing that instantly soothes, leaving skin silky-smooth and beautiful. The mini sampler pack is $10 while the Pearl Souffle’ retails for $22 for the full size 5.3 ounce size tube.
Verdict: I really like this stuff! I’m not a regular when it comes to purchasing shave creams because I just don’t use them often enough. This product was a winner for me though. It gave me super soft and silky feeling skin, even in the cold winter. I didn’t notice any minimizing of hair growth benefits. Perhaps it needs to be used more often to see those types of results. The product is pretty pricey compared to the more common foam shave creams available at the drugstore. As much as I loved this product, I probably won’t be purchasing the full size Pearl Souffle in the future.
Have you tried Shaveworks Pearl Souffle? If so, what did you think? Would you purchase it again?

It looks so silky and hydrating with a definite pearl-like sheen. I haven’t heard of this brand but I’d definitely consider it for when I need a treat. I’m searching for the multipack of Skintimates that I bought a while ago and can’t find. Just bought shave cream at the Dollar store and that was a mistake 😉

This is really nice and luxurious. Too bad the Dollar type didn’t work for you. It was definitely worth a try though, because sometimes they have some pretty decent products. At least you didn’t waste a lot of money. Stacie xo

This actually substitutes shave cream. I don’t usually need to apply lotion after using this either. It’s pretty wonderful. Stacie xo
