I’ve been using the new Pur Minerals CC cream for a few days now and I will tell you right now that I really like it. I purchased mine at Ulta for $38 for 1.50 ounces. There are four colors to chose from ( light, medium, tan and dark). I chose the color Medium and feel like it’s a perfect match for me (I’m NW 25 in MAC). The packaging looks like a squeeze tube, but has a pump on it for dispensing. It took me a few minutes to get it to dispense properly. I think just a squeeze tube would’ve been easier to work with, especially as the product is used up. This CC cream has a broad spectrum SPF of 40. It contains both chemical and physical sunscreens which is my personal preference.
I applied the CC cream with just my fingers. No brush is needed. It blends smoothly into the skin. I was initially worried how it would work with my skin since it’s been rather dry lately. The product seemed like it might be thick due to the high SPF (specifically the 10% Titanium Dioxide) and might not apply well. However, I was blown away by the beautiful matte finish that it leaves on my skin. It does not settle into lines or pores. This product provides more coverage than the most BB creams and the tinted moisturizers that I’ve used. It can be worn alone or under your favorite foundations or powders. I’ve been wearing it with just bronzer and blush.
- SPF 40 foundation and primer
- Color-correcting brightener
- Clarifying control cream
- Anti-aging moisturizer
I’m definitely a huge fan of this new Pur Minerals CC cream and will be a faithful user. I haven’t used it long enough to know if it provides any long term skin perfecting miracles. It is a bit pricey at $38. However I feel like the multi-tasking benefits make it worth the cost for me.
