My Top 12 Sephora Picks

Let’s go girls… It’s one of my favorite times of the year, the annual Sephora Sale! I know that a lot of people wait to shop until their favorite stores have sales (that’s pretty much how I like to shop). It’s always a great time to stock up on products that you already love, to maybe try a new product or to also try out something that’s on the more expensive side since the sale makes it a bit more affordable.

This year’s sale is different than in years past because I think most people will be shopping online rather than in person (me included). It’s just the “new normal” that I think we’re all used to by now.

This post is all about items that I love that are sold at Sephora that are perfect for picking up any time of the year, but even more so when they’re on sale. Here are a few FYI’s about this year’s Sephora sale just in case you didn’t know about the event this time around…

First thing’s first: Register to become a Sephora Insider if you’re not already a member. It’s free to do so. After signing up and spending a minimum of $350 on products, your Beauty Insider membership will be elevated to the VIB level. If you reach a $1,000 spend amount, you’ll automatically be bumped into the Rouge membership pool (AKA where the best year-round Sephora deals live). I’m a VIB these days (not Rouge like I used to be) because I spread my shopping around between different beauty stores and department stores mostly.

My favorite thing to purchase from the sale are holiday sets and value sets, followed by purchasing backups of my favorite foundation and sometime a special treat of a luxury lipstick. Not gonna lie, but I personally don’t “really” consider 10% off to be much of a sale, so I save my wish list for other sale events. However, I’m still giving my recommendations and picks for this year’s Sephora sale because I’ve had a few friends ask and you may be lucky enough to get a higher percentage off …

Let’s start with the sets that I recommend… Sephora always has fantastic value sets that contain products that would make anyone happy to receive. I’ve chosen some of my favorites here. I absolutely love lip products more than any other makeup category. The sets from Charlotte Tibury and Pat McGrath Labs are amazing. Excellent quality for excellent prices. Sephora always puts together a nice combo in their Must-Have collection too. I added one of my all time favorite products from YSL to this list too.

Mascara is my next favorite makeup product. I’ve chosen this trio from Benefit Cosmetics because it contains 3 FANTASTIC mascaras in it. Keep one and put the others in holiday stockings to make your dollars stretch further.

If you’re like me and have mature skin, then you will appreciate my picks for foundation products. The It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Foundation does all that it says. It gives nice coverage AND leave you looking dewy and refreshed. The Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint Foundation is a little lighter in weight and also gives a gorgeous dewy finish.

Next up is eyeshadow. I’ve always been a fan of the neutral palette. My picks for you include beautiful choices from brands that know how to make smooth, highly pigmented and blendable eyeshadows. These are my picks for the shades that I prefer with my eye color and skin tone. They have others too if these aren’t your thing.

That’s a wrap for this years Sephora Sale picks. You don’t have to shop them just when there’s a sale either. They make excellent choices any time of the year!!
