It’s Labor Day weekend. For me, it’s my last weekend to wear white pants. I am one of those southern girls who sticks with the tradition of “no white after Labor Day or before Easter” rules. I never budge on this one, even though it is still 100 degrees outside in September where I live.
This weekend makes me clean out my closet. I move all of the white pants to the top tier in the closet so that I am not tempted to grab my favorite white jeans. Goodbye for now to my favorite summer wardrobe staple!

How about you? Do you stick with this tradition or make your own rules?

Good to meet you Stacie! I usually say heck with this tradition. I love white too much 🙂
Following from the blog hop! I’d love it if you stop over at my blog and return the follow if you like it! xo

I am old fashioned too. My white jeans are now retired for the next 7 months. I can still hear my mom saying “No white after Labor Day”.

After living in FL for 18 years, I’ve not really paid much attention to this. My Mom was always a stickler for this while growing up in the midwest. I kinda go back and forth with it. Shoes – no way. I hate white dress shoes anyway. Shorts, again, probably not. White jeans though look great with black or brown riding boots in the fall and there are tons of ways to transition them and get at least another month or two out of them. According to the fashion world, white pants are still a go. 🙂
