Optimistic Monday

September 3, 2012

Hi Everyone!
I hope you had a great week and met a few goals that you set for yourself.  I had a good week despite not hitting every one of my goals.

Goals for last week:
1.  Work some more on my blog.
Yes!  I found a few sites that have been so helpful.
2.  Finally go and cancel my gym membership that I haven’t used in about 6 months.
Yes, I finally cancelled the gym membership.  What a great feeling!
3.   Walk 4 times.  Maybe even add some running this week.
I only walked 3 times this week.  We had some company in town and my time was not my own for the entire week.  I had to entertain a few days which interfered with my schedule.
8/27/12 3.12 miles, 8/28/12 3.06 miles, 8/30/12 3.26 miles
4.  Add 1-2 pilates sessions to my workouts.

I am sad to say that this one just did not happen.

5.  Work with my camera this week.

I did get to play around with my camera, including pictures and video at my daughter’s first pep rally of the school year.

Please note, the theme of the pep rally was Nerds!
6.  Lunch with girlfriends.
No girlfriends this week.  Lunches were with my hubby or my son.

Goals for this week:
1.  Walk 4-5 times.
2.  Lunch with girlfriends.
3.  Get in a pilates workout.
Either attend a class or do a DVD at home.
4. 4-5 blog posts and 2-3 YouTube videos.
5.  Cook a new dish for dinner this week from a Pinterest recipe.
6.  Order cards for handing out at blog conference.

I know I’m supposed to bring these with me to the conference that is in less than two weeks.  I am so excited to attend my first blogger’s conference.  Anybody else going?

Have a GREAT week!

At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consisten At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consistently use a retinol product until now because I couldn’t handle the dry, irritated skin that I experienced when using them. #OlayPartner

@olay has this new Retinol 24 Starter that’s intentionally made for beginners and/or people with sensitive skin like me. I’m now able to get the “gold standard” benefits recommended by dermatologists with this gentler formula to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots and improve texture.

It’s formulated with Pro-Retinol, Triple Collagen Peptide and Aloe Vera to reveal the smoother, brighter skin that’s been unreachable until now.

And if you’re a long-time user of retinol products, they have several stronger formulas that you can check out too.

New users and those of us with sensitive skin can conveniently purchase this gentler formula at our favorite retailers or online. Give it a try. I think you’ll be as impressed as I am.

Tell me in the comments the number one goal you want to achieve for your skin.

GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking your best at any age isn’t about looking younger. It’s about looking like the best version of you.

At 61, I’m all about makeup that enhances my features, works well with mature skin, and still lets me look like me. I don’t want to hide behind my makeup, and I don’t think any of us need to. With the right products and techniques, makeup can simply bring out what’s already there.

I used all clean beauty makeup products to create a fresh, natural, polished look that feels good without feeling overdone.

If you’re a woman over 50—or 40, 60, or 70—and you’re looking for clean beauty, natural makeup for mature skin, makeup tips for mature skin, anti-aging makeup techniques, or natural-looking makeup that enhances instead of covers, this one is for you. ✨

Beauty doesn’t have an expiration date. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident.💕

Save this GRWM for your next makeup day and tell me: do you prefer a natural makeup look or something a little more glam?

As a matter of fact, I already repurchased the vitamins and prebiotics and probiotics supplement. I didn’t know Kourtney Kardashian was the owner of that brand. I only had 1 fail this time which was the terrible tasting creatine gummies. I don’t like stevia, but if you do then you may like with them.
