I’m kicking off the new year with one of my favorite clothing brands, Petite Studio NYC. I’ve been enjoying their clothes for several years now and have shared them here on my blog several times. You can check out the Fall collection post here and my other Winter 2025 post here because many of these items are still available. The Petite Studio NYC Winter 2026 collection is beautiful, practical and has something for every petite woman. Whether you’re looking for elevated casual denim outfits or something for business meetings, they have you covered.

I’m wearing the Cayden Mid Rise Straight Jeans in Blue (they’re also available in Gray). These are a nice medium weight denim that are 99% cotton and 1% spandex. I find them to be very comfortable. They’re also quite versatile and can be dressed up or down. One thing to note is that all of the measurements of the jeans (and allof the bottoms) are designed to fit a petite frame. This includes the front and back rise, along with the inseam. I’m 5’1″ and about 108 lbs and am wearing a size XS. They couldn’t be more of a perfect fit for me.
I paired the Cayden Jeans with the Carmina Wool Cardigan in red (also available in Gray). It’s a medium weight wool that’s soft (not itchy or scratchy) and has been keeping me nice and warm this winter. The cable knit design with wooden buttons and has a bit of a mock neck and has a contrasting ivory color at the neckline. It’s a slightly cropped length. I can wear it open as a topper or buttoned up as shown. For reference, I’m 5’1″ and about 108 lbs wearing size XS.
I’m always happy with the quality and fit of the clothing items from Petite Studio NYC. Everything fits my petite height and frame perfectly. If you’re petite then you completely understand what I’m talking about. Everything is proportioned for our shorter arms, narrower shoulders, torso length, inseam, etc.
More about the brand
Here’s a little reminder about the brand Petite Studio was founded in 2016 by Jenny Wang-Howell, who owns the business with her husband. She’s the creative behind the brand, while her husband handles the business side. They’re based in SOHO in NYC. They produce clothing in small batches following current trends each season. This includes some signature styles that are their best sellers each season along with some new arrivals. Jenny understands designing clothing for petites because she herself is petite, as is her design team. She understands firsthand the struggles in finding clothing that properly fits a petite woman. The clothing is considered to be slow-fashion, meaning the styles are investment pieces that are made to last through years of wear.
How to shop
It’s easy to shop on the Petite Studio website. They have size charts for each clothing item and they’ve been very accurate for me. But just in case you have any issues with an item, they have free exchanges and easy returns. They offer FREE shipping for orders over $150. They also ship internationally for FREE for orders over $150 and for a reasonable small flat rate for orders under the $150. You can see more about shipping on their website.
Archive Sale
Right now through January 15th, 2026 Petite Studio NYC is having their Archive Sale with select items at up to 50% off. Be sure to check it out asap because my jeans are part of the sale!
