Hello! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. As we are approaching the cooler months, my skin is going through some changes. I have recently changed up my skin care routine and it does include retin a. I am on the lowest dose and use it three times a week. On the days that I don’t use my retin a, I have been using the new Double Serum from Clarins. They recently reformulated it and I love it. It’s very hydrating and my skin just soaks it up. It’s very lightweight and the smell is amazing. If you have ever tried any products from Clarins, then you know that their products all have an amazing spa like scent. I feel like the serum has reduced some of the redness in my skin. I have used this in the morning as well, but do prefer it for nighttime. I am trying out the Ordinary Buffet right now and I use that as one of my morning serums. I feel like I am always changing out my skin care, but this is one that I have stuck with since they came out with the new formula.
Next I have been using the Dear, Klairs Moisturizing Toner. I love this toner because it’s so hydrating and does not contain alcohol. The formula is a lot thicker than what I am used to, but I don’t mind it at all. At first I thought it might be a little heavy for my skin for day time, but that’s not the case at all. With some toners my face will get a little red and feel very tight, but with this toner my skin just feels hydrated and doesn’t get red at all.
Kristin Gehm mentioned on her YouTube channel quite a few times that she loves the Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter. I don’t get to Trader Joe’s very often, but the last time I went there I did pick it up. This is an amazing product and very affordable. I use this almost every night and sometimes in the morning on my legs and arms. It is not heavy feeling and dries down pretty quickly. I have tried other body butters before and typically don’t like them because they seem to always leave a greasy feeling on my body. This body butter does not do that at all. Next time you are at Trader Joe’s do yourself a favor and pick this up.
Something that I have been reaching for lately is the RCMA No Color Powder. I use this under my eyes to set my concealer. It does not emphasize my crow’s feet at all. It really brightens up my under eye area. The only thing I don’t like it the packaging. I end up unscrewing the whole top and dipping my brush into the jar that way. This is such a good powder and very affordable. I have the 3 ounce bottle and I have had it for a very long time. A little goes a long way.
I love Jouer products. Today I received their new full coverage foundation and this cool brush. I am so excited to try it! I have quite a few of Jouer products, and they are all fabulous. One of my favorite products is their Essential Matte & Shimmer Eyeshadow palette. If you are looking for a neutral palette than this is the perfect palette for you. I have neutral palettes from Tom Ford and Viseart. Yes, they are beautiful, but I find myself always reaching for this palette. It is the perfect neutral colors and the quality is right up there with my high end palettes.
I have talked about my weight loss journey before. I am a member of Corinne Crabtree’s program. I love it so much. If you ever have the opportunity to try her free program (she offers it a few times a year) then do it. It’s not like anything else out there. She also has an amazing podcast that she uploads to a couple of times a week. Something that I have been struggling a lot with is stomach issues. I have trouble with certain foods, especially since having my gall bladder taken out a few years ago. Corinne recommended a book to read called The Clever Guts Diet by Dr. Michael Mosley. I just ordered it yesterday and will start reading it as soon as it comes in. If anyone has read this book, I would love to hear what you thought about it.
Let me know what fall beauty products you’ve been enjoying along with the cooler weather.
