Everyone Needs Anti-aging Skincare Products

January 17, 2017

It’s never too early to start using anti-aging skincare products.  I actually wish I had taken better care of my skin in my younger years.  Avoiding the sun rather than basking in it would have helped too.  Back in the day we didn’t know the dangers of the sun and the damage that it was doing to our skin.

I’m happy that I’ve learned how to take better care of my skin for at least the past 7-8 years.  Many of you know that my mom passed away from melanoma.  Ever since she was diagnosed in 2009, I’ve been an advocate for sun safety.  I try to expose others to the realities of skin cancer so that nobody has to suffer in the future from a cancer that can be potentially avoided and most certainly detected early to get effective treatment.

A lot of the photo damage that our skin has can be reversed or at least lessened with a multitude of skincare products.  I did a video on Youtube that shares some of the products that I’ve been using to reverse some of the damage that my skin has.  I’d love for you to watch.  Below the video you will find links to all of the products that I talked about.

  • Rodial Glamoxy Snake Mask – Freeze & Smooth
  • Rodial Super Acids X-treme Hangover Mask

Please let me know if there are any anti-aging skincare products that you’re loving in the comments below.

*Some products talked about I paid for and others were sent for review.  They are all noted in the video.  All opinions are mine and aren’t influenced by anyone else.

I wish I had started to use sunscreen earlier. When I was young, it was only for the beach. One of my faves is Coola Classic Sunscreen Moisturizer – it has an SPF of 30 and I wish it were higher but I love that it’s greaseless and so lightweight. I have so many skincare faves that it’s hard to narrow them down!

I’ve tried a few Coola spf products in the past and didn’t think they sat well under my makeup. I’ll look into the one your recommending though as I’m always on the hunt for a good one. Stacie xo

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your mom to Melanoma! Sun safety is certainly one of the most important things that each of us can do to prevent this pernicious disease. I love your anti-aging skincare picks!

The craziest thing with melanoma is that it’s not always caused by the sun. My mom’s melanoma started on her genitals, so it’s thought to maybe be dna related. Crazy, but true. I cringe when I see young people slathering on oil though and laying in the sun for hours. Prevention is the best medicine for any disease. Stacie xo

I do like the Paula’s Choice line too, but haven’t used the products in a very long time. I love the sales they do, so maybe soon. Stacie xo

I love your list of products! I’ve always had an interest in skincare, so I’ve always had decent skin, but I am always surprised when I find out how little my friends do, especially when it comes to not using SPF.

Cancer just sucks and when it takes our moms… (hugs) Protecting our skin from the sun is so important, all year round and even when it’s cloudy.

I’ve never been a sun person but there were too many years of my life that we didn’t know about SPF. Now I’m religious about it but I know there is damage from those years. Your choices are wonderful. I’m anxious to try the Rodial products so maybe the answer is that set you linked to.

Sorry to hear about your mom. And yes, out of all the skincare products in the market, sunscreen is the most important of all! For aging skin, it’s all anout hydration but if you want to restore some volume loss, you may want to consider certain aesthetic procedures like RF or laser that stimulate collagen and elastin production.

I try to make sure sunscreen is in everything I use, but sometimes it’s hard! As I get older, I am starting to see the benefits to starting a skin car regiment early.

The ultimate culprit of aging skin is the UV rays. Sunscreen is really important when you want to stay young. It can even reduce the risk of skin problems like cancer. Many people nowadays are looking for products that can slow down the process of aging. Thanks for sharing this post and your video. Your list of products is really amazing. I’m just wondering, what products are good for slowing down ageing if suffering from a form of skin disease?

At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consisten At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consistently use a retinol product until now because I couldn’t handle the dry, irritated skin that I experienced when using them. #OlayPartner

@olay has this new Retinol 24 Starter that’s intentionally made for beginners and/or people with sensitive skin like me. I’m now able to get the “gold standard” benefits recommended by dermatologists with this gentler formula to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots and improve texture.

It’s formulated with Pro-Retinol, Triple Collagen Peptide and Aloe Vera to reveal the smoother, brighter skin that’s been unreachable until now.

And if you’re a long-time user of retinol products, they have several stronger formulas that you can check out too.

New users and those of us with sensitive skin can conveniently purchase this gentler formula at our favorite retailers or online. Give it a try. I think you’ll be as impressed as I am.

GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking your best at any age isn’t about looking younger. It’s about looking like the best version of you.

At 61, I’m all about makeup that enhances my features, works well with mature skin, and still lets me look like me. I don’t want to hide behind my makeup, and I don’t think any of us need to. With the right products and techniques, makeup can simply bring out what’s already there.

I used all clean beauty makeup products to create a fresh, natural, polished look that feels good without feeling overdone.

If you’re a woman over 50—or 40, 60, or 70—and you’re looking for clean beauty, natural makeup for mature skin, makeup tips for mature skin, anti-aging makeup techniques, or natural-looking makeup that enhances instead of covers, this one is for you. ✨

Beauty doesn’t have an expiration date. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident.💕

Save this GRWM for your next makeup day and tell me: do you prefer a natural makeup look or something a little more glam?

As a matter of fact, I already repurchased the vitamins and prebiotics and probiotics supplement. I didn’t know Kourtney Kardashian was the owner of that brand. I only had 1 fail this time which was the terrible tasting creatine gummies. I don’t like stevia, but if you do then you may like with them.
