DIY Face Masks for All Skin Types

July 6, 2018

Do you carve out time for some pampering and self-care on a weekly basis? If not, then you really need to start now. I love to take a nice long bubble bath while wearing a face mask. I’ll spare you the photo of that one. LOL! Today I have a roundup of DIY face mask recipes that I collected from the web. They’re all easy to mix up. Some are good for all skin types, while others are geared more towards a particular skin type such as acne or dry skin. Just remember, these are for your face and not for your belly! Haha!

I use a ton of masks but haven’t made one myself. It will be years until I finish all my masks but maybe I should try one of these great sounding ones.

I’ve been using the NEW RoC Line Smoothing 2-Step Peel Pads, and I love how simple they are to use.

Step 1 gently exfoliates with a blend of glycolic, lactic, mandelic, and other exfoliating acids to remove dull, rough skin.

Step 2 follows with RoC’s patented Clinical Retinol plus Ectoin to help smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles while supporting your skin barrier. The best part? It takes just a couple of minutes and fits seamlessly into my evening skincare routine.

At 61, my skin feels noticeably smoother and looks brighter after using them, and with continued use they’re designed to improve texture, uneven tone, dullness, and the appearance of wrinkles.

At around $30 they’re an affordable way to enjoy a professional-inspired peel at home.

Are you as excited as I am about this new at-home dual-step treatment?

There’s something about a makeup collection that’s There’s something about a makeup collection that’s beautiful on the outside AND has a beautiful story behind it.

I’m playing with the Chantecaille Lion Collection for the first time today. The gorgeous shades are inspired by the strength and beauty of the lion and the colors of the African landscape.

But what I love most about Chantecaille is that their love of beauty goes beyond makeup. The brand has a long-standing commitment to wildlife conservation, and their lion initiatives supports Lion Guardians and their efforts to protect these magnificent endangered animals and preserve the communities that live alongside them.

And can we talk about these colors?! The warm, earthy tones are absolutely gorgeous for creating a soft, sophisticated makeup look — and yes, it’s a limited-edition collection but I’m already wishing these shades would stay around forever!

Would you wear this color story? Tell me in the comments.

I like to shout from the rooftops when I find good I like to shout from the rooftops when I find good beauty products that work well for my mature skin in hopes that others will discover them too.

Be sure to let me know if there’s anything you’ve been loving lately too.💖

Today I’m including:
•a body makeup product that helps cover, disguise and blur my dark spots from sun damage from too many years spent in the sun.

•an at-home FDA cleared fractional laser to improve the appearance of my skin and even help get rid of some of those dark spots. I’m using it nightly.

•a beautiful pink lipstick that is like happiness in a tube

•an excellent facial spf product that protects my skin when I’m outdoors. I purchased mine when I was in France.

•some tasty gummy supplements I’ve been using including a multivitamin and a gummy prebiotic and probiotic combo to keep my gut happy

•and a balm that works great for keeping my skin hydrated that I like to dab under my eyes and on the lines above my lips because hydration helps make fine lines look better/less obvious when I look in the mirror.
