I’m always looking for fun ways to decorate my home for the holidays. I like to decorate early (Thanksgiving Day) so that I get to have the most time to enjoy and show off what I’ve done in my home. I usually add a few extra decorations throughout the entire holiday season. Do you ever just walk by your creations and stop to stare at them, so proud that you made them yourself? I admit that I definitely do this. It just makes me happy.
I usually scour the internet, blogs and YouTube videos for ideas. This year I added the newer social media site of Pinterest to get some inspiration as well. The video below is one that I watched from Sears on YouTube. It’s my inspiration for the centerpieces I’m currently creating for my dining room table. They are wreaths that are so easy to make using all natural elements to create a beautiful and elegant setting. You could make these festive, elegant or casual and put them on your table or buffet. You can even have your kids help with these. I plan to add citrus fruits, cinnamon, and pomegranates to mine. I will only have them out for a few days so that I can eat the fruit after we take the decorations down.
This video also demonstrates some easy to make appetizers for your holiday meal. You can shop at Sears or online for an assortment of holiday decorations. They have additional videos with some great ideas for both the inside and the outside of your home. Get inspired!
Have you finished all of your decorating yet?
Are you planning to make any interesting centerpieces for your holiday table or buffet this year?
