Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Blushes

March 24, 2015

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I spend a lot of time on Youtube, Instagram and Pinterest.  I completely enjoy watching beauty videos and seeing what the latest trends are.  The Colourpop Super Shock Cheek blushes have recently taken center stage.  Actually, the whole Colourpop Cosmetics line has exploded.  I ordered a few lip products and eye shadows a few months ago and loved them and their extremely affordable prices.  I still need to do a review of those products.  When the new blushes were released back in February I knew I needed to order some  of these as well.  These retail for only $8.00 each for .15 ounces of product on the Colourpop website.  There are about 20 shades available.  I ordered 4 of them in a variety of colors.

The Colourpop Super Shock Cheek blushes are available in matte and satin finishes.  They are a cream to powder formula.  They can be applied with fingers or a brush.  They’re a very buildable product.  Below are the four colors that I purchased along with swatches.  I didn’t realize how similar the colors were to each other when ordering from the website.  I was also caught up in the frenzy on the day they were first released and had website issues and just threw stuff in my cart.  I probably should have researched swatches before placing my order.

Colourpop Super Shock Cheeks Review

Top Row: Mochi, Prenup   Bottom Row: Thumper, Birthday Suit

Colourpop super shock cheek swatches

The color Mochi and Thumper are both matte finishes.  They’re both bright pink but they’re different.  Mochi is more of a coral shade while Thumper is a blue toned pink. Prenup and Birthday Suit have a satin finish.  They both have micro fine shimmer in them, but are not glittery at all.

Verdict:  First things first, the $8.00 price can’t be beat.  I love the creamy texture of the Super Shock Cheek colors.  They can be applied easily with my fingers or a brush.  I can sheer them out or build them up if I prefer more intense color.  I recommend these blush products.  They lasted all day on my cheeks without fading.  Check them out on the Colourpop website when you get a chance.

Instagram post 18084186709140860 The Dermstick for Pores was formulated by Dr. Schultz to decrease the appearance of pores. It contains a proprietary blend of ingredients that have proven results on 100% of people who participated in a clinical trial. Pretty impressive!! Dermstick in used in conjunction with your regular skincare products. It’s only applied to the areas with enlarged pores.

I’ve been using this for about 6 weeks and there’s definitely a visible improvement. Go to the @beautyrx website for more info on this product as well as many others that can improve every aspect of your skin’s appearance. Are you looking to improve your skin? #prsample

Do you gift yourself during the holidays? I always seem to pick up things for myself when I'm shopping for others. I recently purchased this gorgeous set from It Cosmetics for under $40 on QVC. They have the best value sets, especially on beauty products.⠀

Instagram post 17878236964470394 Do you ever take a leap outside of your comfort zone? Afterwards you look back and wonder what you were so worried about, right?! ⠀
⠀
I said yes to recording a podcast with a friend who wanted me to give tips on beauty and skincare for busy moms. I’m obviously passionate about the topic and maybe even a little obsessed. ⠀
⠀
All that worry about recording was for nothing. Everything went great and the podcast is now live! You can go to my blog to listen. ⠀

How often do you do things out of your comfort zone?
