Babo Botanicals Lip Tint Review

June 14, 2019

Affiliate Links PR Sample

Are you looking for a natural product to tint your lips and provide moisture? I recently tried the Babo Botanicals Sheer Lip Tint Conditioner. I actually tried this product in three different shades. I was introduced to the line when attending the Mom 2.0 conference in Austin in April. I was so impressed with their stick sunscreen that I knew I wanted to try additional products. These lip tints were sent to me for review purposes.

Babo Botanicals Lip Tint

I received the Lip Tint in Plum Rose, Crimson Rose and Beach Rose.

It’s important to note that the lip tints are “free of Gluten, Dairy, Soy, Peanuts, Almonds, Walnuts, SLS, Sulfates, Parabens, Phthalates, Synthetic Fragrances, Dyes, Sodium chloride, Formaldehyde, MEA, DEA, TEA, and most common allergens. In addition, the powerful but gentle formula does contain tree nuts – coconut and shea butter.”

The Lip Tints contains Babo’s exclusive Nutri-Soothe™ Complex™ that is rich in vitamins & anti-oxidants. What does this mean? It means you’re getting ingredients applied to your lips that are going to smooth and condition your lips while also providing a shot of color.

Ingredients in the Babo Botanicals Lip Tint:

Active: Titanium Dioxide 1.7%, Zinc Oxide 0.7% (Sunscreen)

Inactive: Beeswax*, Bisabolol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract*, Carmine, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract*, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Fragrance, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Iron Oxide, Jojoba Esters, Nasturtium Officinale Flower/Leaf Extract*, Octyldodecyl Oleate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil*, Oryzanol, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil*, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract*, Silica, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Spiraea Ulmaria Flower Extract*, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Tocopherol. *Certified Organic Ingredients

Babo Botanicals Lip Tints review

Plum Rose, Crimson Rose and Beach Rose

These Lip Tints contain an SPF 15 consisting of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. These are physical sunscreen ingredients and help to block the harmful rays from the sun. The product can be applied right before sun exposure and should be reapplied if you plan to spend an extended time in the sun.

Swatches of the three shades that I received (top to bottom) Plum Rose, Beach Rose, Crimson Rose

You can see from my swatches that these Lip Tints are highly pigmented in the Plum Rose and Crimson Rose shades. The Beach Rose is rather sheer, but provides a nice shimmer on the lips for occasions when you don’t want an actual color on your lips. I will mention that all three of these products do have a scent to them from the natural ingredients.

Crimson Lip Tint

I’m wearing the Crimson Rose in this snap.

The Sheer Lip Tint Conditioners from Babo Botanicals are formulated to be worn by all, from young to mature. They give lips both color and shine. The ingredients help to keep lips soft and conditioned with their lightweight formula.

Babo products can be purchased at a wide variety of retailers. In addition, they can be purchased online from the Babo Botanicals website, Amazon, Vitacost and Skinstore and many others. The Lip Tints retail under $10 each and can also be purchased in variety packs.

Verdict:

How did I not know about these lip tints before now? I find the formula to be effective at providing moisture to my lips with healthy ingredients. The color payoff for the darker shades is notable. The color lasts a decent amount of time (a few hours, including drinking my morning coffee and more). I personally enjoy the natural cacao scent that these have. I recommend the Babo Botanicals Lip Tints if you’re looking for sun protection for the sensitive skin on your lips along with pretty color choices and natural ingredients. Let me know if you’ve tried these or any other products from Babo Botanicals.

It’s a shame that they contain tree nuts though with so many people allergic. You’d have to be careful kissing some people. I’m sure everyone would want to kiss you when wearing these though.

These are so pretty, but Marcia has an excellent point about the tree nuts since so many have allergies to them!

At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consisten At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consistently use a retinol product until now because I couldn’t handle the dry, irritated skin that I experienced when using them. #OlayPartner

@olay has this new Retinol 24 Starter that’s intentionally made for beginners and/or people with sensitive skin like me. I’m now able to get the “gold standard” benefits recommended by dermatologists with this gentler formula to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots and improve texture.

It’s formulated with Pro-Retinol, Triple Collagen Peptide and Aloe Vera to reveal the smoother, brighter skin that’s been unreachable until now.

And if you’re a long-time user of retinol products, they have several stronger formulas that you can check out too.

New users and those of us with sensitive skin can conveniently purchase this gentler formula at our favorite retailers or online. Give it a try. I think you’ll be as impressed as I am.

GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking your best at any age isn’t about looking younger. It’s about looking like the best version of you.

At 61, I’m all about makeup that enhances my features, works well with mature skin, and still lets me look like me. I don’t want to hide behind my makeup, and I don’t think any of us need to. With the right products and techniques, makeup can simply bring out what’s already there.

I used all clean beauty makeup products to create a fresh, natural, polished look that feels good without feeling overdone.

If you’re a woman over 50—or 40, 60, or 70—and you’re looking for clean beauty, natural makeup for mature skin, makeup tips for mature skin, anti-aging makeup techniques, or natural-looking makeup that enhances instead of covers, this one is for you. ✨

Beauty doesn’t have an expiration date. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident.💕

Save this GRWM for your next makeup day and tell me: do you prefer a natural makeup look or something a little more glam?

As a matter of fact, I already repurchased the vitamins and prebiotics and probiotics supplement. I didn’t know Kourtney Kardashian was the owner of that brand. I only had 1 fail this time which was the terrible tasting creatine gummies. I don’t like stevia, but if you do then you may like with them.
