First off, do you know what it means that a brand is considered to be Indie Beauty? “An indie beauty brand is independently owned and operated and is doing something ‘unconventional’– whether it’s clean ingredients, a new category, a different spin on something existing, or a disruptive way of reaching their consumer.”
I’ve been using so many products that fit into this category and I think you may be as well. This week I had the pleasure of attending a focus group called Innovation Showcase as a preview to another event later this spring. This was presented by some of the ladies from Indie Beauty Expo. They shared current trends in beauty. We were able to touch and play with so many new and exciting products.
We saw products from all categories, from skincare and haircare to supplements, makeup and more. The products showcased were developed by people following their passion. It’s exciting to see the outcomes and to be able to use the products.
I thought I’d share some of the excitement here so you can see a few of the products that were standouts.
You know I was loving all of the pink lip products that were featured. Each of these is unique in its own way, from balms to long-lasting color.
The whole family has been trying this CBD pain relief cream from Cause + Medic. Everyone seems to have some sort of ache or pain that they want to see if the cream can help. It’s been working well for everyone.
We heard about some new beauty and wellness ingestibles that are shown below. I’m always interested in these types of products and can’t wait to try these.

Another exciting product is a scalp and hair prewash that you put on your hair before entering the shower. It’s said to make hair soft and beautiful. I adore the packaging. How about you?
As you can see, there are so many new products in all categories in the Indie beauty space.
