Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick

I was strolling through the store yesterday and happened upon a new collection of Maybelline Colorsensational lipsticks.  The collection is the Maybelline Creamy Matte lipstick for the Fall of 2014.  I’m not sure why, but I’m suddenly attracted to matte lipstick for the first time ever.  I, of course, chose a hot pink and a bright red.  These seem to be my go to colors when I’m trying to add some color to my lipstick wardrobe.

These pop of color lipsticks are fun to wear.  They have a creamy matte finish that glides right on to the lips.  This is the type of formula that I prefer to apply with either a lip brush or my finger.  They actually provide a bit of a stain type staying power which I love.  The red lasts longer for me.  See my chosen colors along with swatches below.

I recommend these lipsticks if you’re in the market for a matte lipstick.  There are several other colors in the collection from nudes to brights.  They retail for $7.99 at Ulta, Walgreen’s, Target and other drugstores.  Of course you can almost always get them on sale.  Let me know if you’ve tried them or if you’re planning to.
