Are you looking for a new foundation brush? If you know me, then you know that I’m always looking for the next great thing that’s hitting the market. I recently purchased the Yubi Buff and Blend Foundation Brush Set. I saw it advertised and thought I needed to give it a try.
Here is how Yubi advertises their brush:
“You’re busy. That means your beauty routine sometimes happens on the go. Traditional brushes are cumbersome to use away from home. And using your fingers is messy and can cause breakouts. Yubi is here for you. Ergonomic and easy to use like your own fingers, minus the mess. Multi-purpose and ultra portable, and with a plush softness that gives you the most flawless finish ever no matter what product you use. Guaranteed.”
Included in my purchase was one Yubi ring, a Yubi Buff Brush and Yubi Blend Sponge. The set retails for $39. Replacement buffing brushes and sponges are available. The brushes are multitaskers, meaning they can be used to apply a variety of products including sunscreen, primer, foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer, blush, contour, highlight, bronzer, setting powder and all your favorite makeup products.
This is the Yubi ring. This side shows where your fingers go allowing you to hold the brush for use.
I love how dense and compact the brush is. It’s really soft and feels luxurious, making for a spa like experience.
I immediately put the buff brush into the ring holder and got started using it to apply my foundation.
In addition to the buffing brush, I also got the makeup sponge in the kit that I purchased. It’s nice to have the sponge for blending out foundations or for applying moisturizers, sunscreens and more.
The brush is ergonomically designed to make it easy to hold. The former Occupational Therapist in me sees this brush as being something that would appeal to ladies with arthritis and other conditions that make holding a regular brush difficult or impossible.
Here’s my final look using the Yubi Foundation Buff Brush and my favorite Marc Jacobs Shameless foundation. As you can probably tell by now, I really like this brush for applying my foundations and cc creams. The density of the synthetic bristles gives my skin good coverage. I feel like my skin looks like I airbrushed my foundation on. My only problem with the brush is that it’s too bulky to get into the corners of my eyes.
A few more facts about the Yubi Buff and Blend Foundation Brush Set:
The Buff brush is vegan, hypoallergenic and cruelty free. The products are easy to clean with soap and water or your favorite brush cleanser.

I like how soft the brush looks, but it does seem like it would be difficult to get into the eye area. Other than that, I love the design.

The brush shape is reminiscent of the Artis that started it all but for a lot less. I think the handle would be very handy to have. Very interesting.

It’s too bad they didn’t add a more tapered area, but the deign overall is a really interesting concept.

It looks super soft but how do you get into the small spaces?

It’s a heavenly soft brush. The only shortfall to me was that I could not get into the inner corners of the eye area. I had to use a small brush or sponge for that. That’s the one thing they need to work on. Stacie xo
