4-in-1 Blush Book from Pur Cosmetics

Springtime makes me so happy. I love blue skies and sunny days. During the spring and summer months I tend to go a little brighter on my blush shades. I was recently shopping at Kohl’s and “happened” to stroll through the beauty section when the new 4-in-1 Blush Book from Pur Cosmetics grabbed my attention. It was one of those love at first sight moments. The palette is $36 and can be purchased on the Pur Cosmetics website, Kohl’s and Ulta Beauty. Shop around for whichever site has the best deal when you’re ready to purchase.

The Blush Book comes in a sturdy white coated and textured cardboard type palette. It feels quite substantial in my hands, however I’m thinking it will end up stained and dirty in a few months. But for now, it’s beautiful!

The blush book is actually a palette of four pigmented, yet buildable blushes that are universally flattering on all skin tones.  It contains four extra-large blush pans.  Three shades are matte – Honest (Light Pink), Passionate (Bright Pink), and Loyal (Dark Mauve Pink). The one shimmer blush shade is Determined (Peachy Shimmer).

I can’t stop staring at the beautiful blushes! The palette is so pretty to look at.

For my swatches below I decided to swatch each area in the blush rather than a combined color since they can be used as individuals or combined offering a rather large array of shades in a single palette.

These blushes are finely milled and richly pigmented. They’re formulated to include Pur Cosmetic’s proprietary Energy Complex. Pur Cosmetics says that “all four shades help to boost the skin’s natural metabolism and rejuvenate the skin.” I’m not sure if that actually happens when I use the product, but I do notice more radiant looking skin.

Verdict:

I think this blush palette will make you as happy as it’s making me! It’s really nice because the blush shades can be worn very sheer for a wash of color or they can be layered to provide a strong pop of color. The blush stays vibrant all day long without fading. This palette will last me forever due to the extra-large size of the pans and the fact that a little bit goes a long way. I highly recommend this blush palette for all skin tones.
