Zinc It Over is Seriously Fabulous

We all know that wearing sunscreen on a daily basis is a must. It’s non-negotiable for preventing fine lines and wrinkles, skin cancers, sun spots and more. I recently had the extreme pleasure of trying out a new sunscreen called Zinc It Over. It’s a sunscreen facial mist designed to be worn OVER your makeup. There’s nothing else like it on the market. This product from Seriously Fab is a game changer.

Below is a quick mist on my hand from the non-aerosol perfume style bottle. It’s active ingredient is non-nano zinc oxide 5% and it has NO “bad for you” chemicals”. The photo shows how the product appears on my skin. You can see that it’s sheer. It actually gives my skin a nice hydrated and slightly dewy appearance.

We’ve always been told that we must reapply our sunscreen every two hours in order for us to be protected from the sun’s damaging rays. The Zinc It Over sunscreen mist is a convenient way to reapply sun protection right over your makeup. You literally just mist your face every two hours when out in the sun. Not only does the sunscreen provide broad spectrum SPF 25, but it also provides phytonutrients and antioxidants.

Seriously Fab says “Our unique formula provides three key functions: 1) Sets makeup with a fresh and dewy glow, 2) Defends against sun damage via re-application every 2 hours, and 3) Delivers hydration and nourishment to the skin, extending its youthful appearance. The powerhouse ingredients in our formula include Blueberry, Pomegranate, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, and Pumpkin Seed.”

How to Use:

• Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every 2 hours throughout the day to help protect skin from UVA + UVB damage.
• Shake the bottle vigorously to activate the formula.
• Holding the bottle about 9 – 10 inches from face in an open area, with eyes and mouth closed, pump spray top 5 – 6 times.
• Make sure that face and neck are well covered.
• Spraying too close to skin may result in visible droplets.
• This mist can also be used without makeup, preferably layered over a trusted physical sunscreen for optimal protection.

Verdict: This product arrived just in time for me to put it in my travel bag for a trip to Charleston, South Carolina. I’ve been using it for a few days and couldn’t be happier. It fits right inside my cross-body purse so I have it with me all day long for quick reapplication. I have the scented variety. It smells AMAZING, just like being on a tropical island. I know that $39 for sunscreen sounds like a lot of money, but the ingredients will give you peace of mind, skincare and effective sun protection. A little goes a long way and 3 ounces is a lot of product compared to other luxury sunscreens that I’ve purchased in the past. I will continue to use this sunscreen because I think it’s going to be a holy grail beauty product for me.
