YSL MASCARA VOLUME EFFET FAUX CILS

A few weeks ago I received the YSL VoxBox from Influenster.  They sent out 4000 tubes of the Yves Saint Laurent MASCARA VOLUME EFFET FAUX CILS . I was lucky enough to receive one myself and was anxious to give it a try since I’d never used any of the YSL mascaras in the past.  The packaging states that this is a luxurious mascara for a false lash effect.  It is formulated with B5 Pro-Vitamin to strengthen and protect lashes.  This mascara retails for $32 and can be purchased wherever YSL is sold including Sephora, Nordstrom, etc.  It is available in traditional black as well as five additional colors. This mascara has a nylon fiber brush.

Verdict:  As you can see from my photos above, this mascara definitely gave my lashes both volume and length.  I had a hard time adding additional coats of mascara once the first layer was set and dry.  I recommend adding the additional layers right away.  I had no flaking or transfer from the mascara.  My lashes were soft and not crunchy with the mascara applied.  The only thing that I didn’t love was the brush.  It  was a little bit large for me.  The YSL MASCARA VOLUME EFFET FAUX CILS is obviously a luxury item that I’m so happy to have and will use daily.  However, if you don’t have the money to spend on luxury mascara you can skip this one and get one of the more affordable options.
