Hi Everyone! I definitely have a few apps on my phone that I consider to be my top money saving apps. These are all apps that I use when I’m shopping. They provide rewards points or discounts or cash back. And let’s face it, saving money is a pretty cool thing. I’m listing my favorites or most used ones below. Let me know if you have any questions about these.. Also, please let me know if you have a recommendation for an app that I might like.
1. Shopular – I’ve talked about this app before. I have this one on my phone because it provides discount coupon codes right on your phone. If I’m in an area with stores that have active coupon codes the app shows up on my lock screen of my phone to inform me so I don’t miss out or forget. The YouTube video where I review the app is below.
2. Walgreen’s – If you shop at Walgreen’s this is a great app. You simply scan your reward card every time you make a purchase. You can earn bonus pints and regular points with most purchases. I save up my points to get free products. I shared a video on YouTube recently showing all of the free beauty products that I got. I used 40,000 points that I’d saved to get $50 in FREE makeup!! I made the deal even sweeter by purchasing products that were on sale for 50% off. You can earn points for exercising too. When I remember to go on the app, I can earn points for each mile that I walk. The points add up fast. This is another no brainer sort of app to get free products that I’m going to buy anyway. You can see what I purchased with my “Free” dollars below.
3. Walmart Savings Catcher – My nail tech told me about the Walmart Savingscatcher app. You download the Walmart app to your mobile device. After making your regular shopping trip to Walmart you simply scan in the bar code from your receipt. Walmart then scans all of their competitor’s weekly ads. If a lower price is found on any of the products that you purchased they give you the difference in the price you paid. I don’t shop at Walmart too often. However I always use the app and have earned a nice size gift card to use on whatever I want.
4. Ebates – I think everybody’s heard of Ebates by now. When you go through the Ebates website you can earn money back for nearly every store that you normally shop at. Their site is available on your desktop/laptop computer as well as all mobile devices. I keep their app on the home screen of my phone and iPad so that I don’t forget to use it when I’m shopping online. I’ve been using Ebates since 2011. There are truly “no strings attached.” Why not get cash back for purchases that you’re going to make anyway?! You can even print out coupons to take to stores with you. Go check out Ebates HERE.
Let me know if you use any these. What are your top money saving apps?
