Hi friends! A few weeks ago a friend of mine asked me to be a guest on her podcast to talk about simple beauty. I had never recorded a podcast before and was slightly freaked out at just the thought of being interviewed. I was afraid that I might be long-winded in my answers, go off on a tangent or that I might flubber up my words. Nonetheless, I jumped out of my comfort zone and agreed to participate and I’m so happy that I did.
I met Christy Lingo at a mom’s blogging conference in Austin a few months back. She’s an organizing expert who has a fantastic podcast, a website and all accompanying social media. If you’re a busy mom trying to get your home more organized, I highly suggest checking Christy out because she has some great advice.
Christy’s podcasts always start with a cocktail recipe. How fun, right??!! I told her what my favorite liquor is and she found us a great recipe using it. She talks about the recipe and then we talk about me, followed by some of my beauty tips, including skincare, makeup and a few gift suggestions. I hope you’ll take the time to listen. I’d love some feedback!!
In the episode Christy spoke about her show notes. Most podcasts have notes which contain some of the talking points from the episode. In this case Christy has listed out some of the points that I spoke of as well as links to some of the products that I may have mentioned. You can find all of the show notes from our episode at Simple Solutions Organizing. Please let me know if you have any questions as some of the things that I mentioned haven’t even been talked about on my own sites yet.
Christy uploads new episodes every week. You can find lots more information about organizing along with past episodes of her Cocktails and Containers series here.

Hi, Stacie – Nice interview with lots of great tips! I’m going to be checking out Laura Mercier’s eye liner kit at Sephora and maybe I’ll start adding mascara to my daily makeup routine. I was told once to only use liner because I don’t have lashes, but that’s not true. My lashes are just so light, but they’ve always been very long. Thanks for sharing – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com
