Do you have large visible pores? I know that I’ve recently started to really notice the pores on my face. They may have been there forever and I just chose to ignore them (denial is sometimes a good thing). Or they are suddenly expanding in size and I’ve started to become a little bit more paranoid about them. I use the brightest 10x magnifying makeup mirror in town. This mirror shows EVERYTHING, which can be both good and bad. Good for plucking hairs that show up in the oddest places. And bad for making my wrinkles and pores appear as large as the Empire State Building.
I recently received the Dr. Brandt Poredermabrasion for review. This product is a pore perfecting exfoliator. The company calls this product “a unique professional grade physical and chemical exfoliator and pore perfector in one.” It’s designed for all ages and skin types. It’s supposed to shrink pores and smooth the texture of your skin. The 2 ounce size retails for $58 and can be purchased at Sephora and other places that sell the Dr Brandt brand.
I’ve been using Poredermabrasion for several weeks. It’s designed to be used only 1-2x per week. The product is like liquid sandpaper suspended in a gel (these are my words and my opinion, not the actual product description). The product had a menthol type fragrance to me. You apply the product to damp skin, gently massage it in and then let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off. After the product is removed you gently pat the skin dry. Therefore the product is very simple to use and can easily be incorporated into your existing skincare routine.
Verdict: I think this product has been working nicely at refining the look of my skin. I can’t say that my pores look smaller, per se, however I think they are definitely cleaner than before use of this product. The product can be very abrasive to the skin if not used with caution. I like to gently rub the product in a circular motion to cleanse my skin carefully avoiding the eye area. I felt that my skin was congested and had an increase in blackheads in the few weeks before incorporating this product into my skincare routine (due to a makeup product that I’d been trying out). I recommend this product for exfoliating the skin for an improved overall appearance. Let me know if you’ve tried it.
Go check out the Dr. Brandt Poredermabrasion for yourself.

I have tried this product. I agree with you that skin feels cleaner after using it but it didn’t reduce the size of my pores.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was truly a product that could shrink poses so we no longer had to be bothered by them?! Thanks for stopping by! Stacie xo

A good exfoliant is always a good thing to have in any skincare répertoire. It sounds like it kind of acts as a salt scrub? I may have to try this out!

Yes, I agree and this one is interesting because it has chemical exfoliants in it too which are very important as well. Salt scrubs have the salt actually dissolve in the water, where as this one does not dissolve. Go play with some at Sephora. Thanks for stopping by! Stacie xo
