Zion Health Scalp Cleaning Products

February 14, 2022

Sponsored

I’m very particular when it comes to my hair care and the products that I use. I want practical, effective, and made with high-quality ingredients, but I don’t want to spend exorbitant prices for them. I don’t believe hair care should be expensive, yet I want reasonably great products. I find that too many chemicals cause my hair to respond poorly, so limiting them to a minimum is the perfect solution. When ZionHealth contacted me about testing some scalp cleaning products from their hair care line, I was ecstatic to include some of their products into my regimen since their formulas seemed unique.

ZionHealth hair products review

Read my review of the two products that I tried below and grab a discount on their website with my code STACIE10 on these or others that may interest you.

Scalp & Hair Scrub

The ZionHealth Deep Cleansing Scalp & Hair Scrub is available for $18 for a 4 oz jar. This scrub is available in several different scents. I tested the Green Apple.

Formula

The wonderful smell is the first thing you’ll notice about this scalp cleaning product. The scent is delightfully warm, isn’t too sweet, lingers in the hair, yet not so overpowering. This aroma is delightful and adds a touch of luxury to the washing process. The scrub has a medium-coarse texture that is perfect for the scalp. The texture of this scrub is excellent for getting into the scalp while having enough grit to remove filth or dirt. As you rub the product into the scalp it foams up nicely.

I’d recommend starting with approximately a spoonful and adding more as needed. I like to start with the itchiest areas of my scalp that have been irritated by-product buildup. Using a scalp cleanse relieves itching right away and helps in the long run. This hair scrub is already one of my favorites for balancing my scalp and keeping my hair healthy. Like the rest of your body, you must regularly exfoliate the skin on your scalp. It lets you start with a clean slate every time you style your hair by resetting the scalp.

A scalp scrub will not only remove any debris or blockage, but it will also increase blood flow to your scalp, which will aid in hair growth! This scrub also helps remove excess oils and dead skin if you have dandruff or a highly oily scalp. This scrub is easy to rinse out of the hair and leaves no residue behind.

Ingredients

The advantages of these healthy and straightforward ingredients are many, but here are some specifics on each of them:

Sea Salt is rich in minerals that help balance pH levels and promote hair development. It exfoliates and cleanses the skin, aiding in removing dead skin cells, reducing dandruff, unclogging hair follicles, and improving circulation.

Mangosteen Powder is made from a tropical fruit high in antioxidants and considered a therapeutic superfood. Its anti-aging benefits are due to its reparative and astringent characteristics.

Argan Oil is high in antioxidants and fatty acids, which enter hair follicles and provide a layer of protection against damage. This balanced, non-greasy oil tames and defines hair structure.

Biotin – often known as vitamin B7, is required for robust and healthy hair. Brittle hair, hair loss, and rashes are all symptoms of low biotin levels.

Panthenol is a vitamin B5 derivative. It hydrates, moisturizes, and helps to regenerate cells. These qualities make it a good detangler that adds shine and stops hair thinning.

Vitamin E – hydrates and conditions the skin, preventing breakage and dullness. This antioxidant fights free radicals, harming skin and hair health and texture.

Aloe Vera – relieves irritation, itching, and rough areas on the scalp, making it an excellent treatment for seborrheic dermatitis. The enzymes act as exfoliating cleansers, aiding circulation and encouraging rejuvenation.

Sweet Almond Oil – an emollient that moisturizes and softens the skin. This hypoallergenic oil absorbs quickly to help sensitive skin recover and minimize irritation. It has been found in studies to help protect against UV damage.

Ionic Clay Minerals – more than 57 trace minerals in ionic clay gently exfoliate and heal, absorbing impurities and excess oils along the way. They can wash and remove product buildup without depleting hair of its essential oils and minerals.

SCALP NUTRITION SERUM

The Scalp Nutrition Serum: Intense Scalp Revitalizer is available for $20.00 for a 1 ounce bottle. This serum comes in a classic glass container with a dropper for application.

I use the Zion Health Scalp Nutrition Serum after washing my hair. Thanks to its nourishing combination of oils and minerals, this vegan serum will help restore moisture and invigorate your scalp. Despite its richness, this combination is light and non-greasy, so there’s no need to rinse after application. Massage 3-5 drops into your scalp in the morning or evening. In my opinion, it truly helps with dandruff as well as hair dullness. It smells beautiful, and after a few weeks of application, I’ve noticed that my hair is more vital and shinier! I actually apply to the ends of my dry hair too for added protection.

FORMULA

This recipe is a combination of nutrient-dense and moisturizing oils. Although it is an oil combination, it is pretty light and does not leave the scalp or hair greasy. It also doesn’t cause the hair to fall out. I prefer to use this after the scrub since my scalp may need additional nutrition after the exfoliation and reset. In addition, I’ve noticed that my scalp does not get inflamed or itchy after using this serum until the following wash day.

For application, start by putting a few drops on your fingers, then rubbing them throughout your scalp in parts. This recipe is not only calming for scalp irritation, dryness, and itching, but it also includes a lot of nutrients that can aid in hair growth. It has helped to reduce my excessive shedding, which has always been an issue for me.

INGREDIENTS

This hair serum is made entirely of natural oils. The following are some elements to keep in mind:

Olive oil is a rich source of fatty acids, vitamins, and other antioxidants. It protects the scalp and hair from oxidative damage and prevents breakage and frizz by locking in moisture and boosting suppleness.

Hemp Seed Oil – aids in the circulation of oxygen and nutrients, reduces inflammation, and prevents water loss, providing significant relief. Its moisturizing and oil-regulating properties create an optimum environment for hair development.

Apricot Seed Oil – feeds and strengthens the hair with omega fatty acids and vitamins A and E, ensuring balance, suppleness, and protection. It relieves dryness and dandruff while promoting general healing and healthy hair development.

Argan Oil – rapidly absorbs and thoroughly hydrates skin without clogging pores. Argan oil may help prevent additional breakage and hair loss by maintaining collagen, elasticity, and moisture.

Jojoba Oil helps restore balance and regenerate hair follicles, which may help treat and prevent irritated scalp disorders, dandruff, and weak hair follicles.

Castor oil – Vitamin E, fatty acids, and other antioxidants found in castor oil assist in hydrating and locking in protective moisture. The high concentration of ricinoleic acid promotes circulation, which reduces inflammation and inhibits microbiological development.

Thyme Essential Oil – contains bioflavonoids, minerals, and vitamins A and C, which help with oiliness, dandruff, and irritation. These properties explain its use in oil blends aimed at preventing hair loss.

Rosehip Seed Oil is high in fatty acids and antioxidant vitamins, which aid in tissue, collagen, and cell regeneration. It helps minimize inflammation and irritation while preserving epidermal resilience by restoring balance and hydration.

Rosemary Essential Oil – promotes good circulation, which helps transport antioxidants and repair tissue. It hydrates the scalp, relieves irritation, and controls oil production, preparing it for healthy hair development.

Carrot Seed Oil contains beta-carotene and vitamins A and E that give additional conditioning and circulation stimulation to help heal, protect, and improve the scalp and hair texture.

Oregano Essential Oil – brightens the skin, boosts collagen formation and protects the skin to ensure appropriate, uninterrupted healing.

Peppermint Essential Oil – has a cooling, soothing effect while increasing circulation and stimulation.

Verdict on these scalp cleaning products:

Scalp care is just as important as our hair care. I’m happy that I now have a thorough scalp care regimen. I’ve tried several homemade rinses before, but they are not quite as lovely to use or as handy as this scrub and serum. These scalp cleansing and detoxifying solutions are one of my favorites since they thoroughly wash, eliminate product buildup, and soothe my scalp. I had underestimated the importance of this until I began doing it weekly, and it has drastically improved the health and appearance of my hair!

results from using scalp cleaning products

My hair is shinier, smoother and healthier in appearance! My scalp feels clean and invigorated. I have noticed that I’m not shedding as much hair and that the texture of my hair is silkier. I’m actually blown away by how a few simple products can transform my hair so dramatically! They come highly recommended by me! With the code STACIE10, you may enjoy a 10% discount on these items.

Zion Health is a great place to start if you seek natural alternatives to your current body products or want to expand your natural beauty collection as well!

At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consisten At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consistently use a retinol product until now because I couldn’t handle the dry, irritated skin that I experienced when using them. #OlayPartner

@olay has this new Retinol 24 Starter that’s intentionally made for beginners and/or people with sensitive skin like me. I’m now able to get the “gold standard” benefits recommended by dermatologists with this gentler formula to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots and improve texture.

It’s formulated with Pro-Retinol, Triple Collagen Peptide and Aloe Vera to reveal the smoother, brighter skin that’s been unreachable until now.

And if you’re a long-time user of retinol products, they have several stronger formulas that you can check out too.

New users and those of us with sensitive skin can conveniently purchase this gentler formula at our favorite retailers or online. Give it a try. I think you’ll be as impressed as I am.

GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking GRWM with clean beauty products — because looking your best at any age isn’t about looking younger. It’s about looking like the best version of you.

At 61, I’m all about makeup that enhances my features, works well with mature skin, and still lets me look like me. I don’t want to hide behind my makeup, and I don’t think any of us need to. With the right products and techniques, makeup can simply bring out what’s already there.

I used all clean beauty makeup products to create a fresh, natural, polished look that feels good without feeling overdone.

If you’re a woman over 50—or 40, 60, or 70—and you’re looking for clean beauty, natural makeup for mature skin, makeup tips for mature skin, anti-aging makeup techniques, or natural-looking makeup that enhances instead of covers, this one is for you. ✨

Beauty doesn’t have an expiration date. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident.💕

Save this GRWM for your next makeup day and tell me: do you prefer a natural makeup look or something a little more glam?

As a matter of fact, I already repurchased the vitamins and prebiotics and probiotics supplement. I didn’t know Kourtney Kardashian was the owner of that brand. I only had 1 fail this time which was the terrible tasting creatine gummies. I don’t like stevia, but if you do then you may like with them.
