REN is dedicated to non-toxic products that include bio-actives to benefit skin health. I have eczema and dry, easily-irritated skin, so I was excited to review two of its products from the REN Evercalm Skincare collection geared toward sensitive skin. These products have no toxins, no harsh or controversial chemicals, and no potential irritants.
Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask
I don’t use facial masks often out of sheer laziness. They can be messy and I worry about potential mask-ooze dripping off my face! Ren makes masking easier with its Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask.
This mask felt more like a comfortable cream than a typical face mask. I applied a thick layer and the green-tinged whiteness of the product was barely discernible, so I didn’t look crazy walking around the house with this on.
How to use:
- Use three times a week or anytime your skin is in need of urgent rescue.
- Apply a generous amount onto clean skin, avoiding the eye area.
- Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Gently remove any excess with a damp cloth or cotton pad.
- Follow with your usual skincare routine.
Developed to stop the sensitive skin cycle, this calming mask uses our own complex of bio-actives, including white grifolin mushroom extract, that instantly soothe by stopping the brain from sending stress signals to the skin. Redness and irritation are reduced, resulting in a good skin trip.
Advertised for sensitive skin, this mask has a mild lemony scent; the ingredients state it contains a 100% natural fragrance. My eczematous, dry skin felt quite comforted and appeared less red after using it. My skin felt plumped and nourished! I may just be a mask convert now!
REN Global Protection Day Cream
For optimal hydration, look no further than this calming day cream. Developed for reactive skin, it combats redness and irritation, protects against signs of premature aging and leaves skin glowing.
The Global Protection Day Cream is also super comfortable for my dry skin. No SPF in this but lots of ingredients great for your skin including omega 3 and 7 as well as 100% natural fragrance. Like the mask, this cream has a mild lemon scent.
How to use:
- After cleansing, gently massage a small amount of day cream into your face and neck until absorbed.
Verdict: I’m quite impressed with both of these REN products from the Evercalm collection. This is my first time trying REN and certainly won’t be my last. With fall and more drying temperatures upon us, the mask and day cream are just what my skin needs!

REN gets nothing but raves. I didn’t know it had a light lemon scent but that really interests me. I don’t care for any florals but I love citrus. These both sound great.
It’s quite relaxing to use at night before bed!
