Did you watch this year’s Oscars? I don’t know the last time I stayed up and actually watched all the way through until the end. Of course, all I was really focused on was the hair and makeup that the beautiful actresses were wearing. I picked a few of my favorite dresses to share with you along with some of my Make Up For Ever picks for the perfect red carpet look.
Olivia Munn is wearing a Stella McCartney dress and Forevermark jewelry. The dress is gorgeous. Her makeup is flawless, as it brightens her face. I personally like the slightly messy look of her hair with the small pieces hanging around her face.
Jennifer Lawrence wore Dior and looked sophisticated and elegant to me. I just love the dress and the simple straight hair. I personally think she should have had a bright bold lipstick color. However, she was gorgeous anyway.
The products above are on point for creating the perfect red carpet look. Make Up For Ever’s new hydrating primer helps to smooth skin and provide the perfect base to apply foundation. The newer Ultra HD foundation is perfect because of its 4K technology. This makes skin look gorgeous on camera. The High Definition Powder and Mist & Fix help to set everything in place for hours.
I don’t usually go for super colorful eye shadow palettes. However, I’ve had fun playing with the new MUFE Artist Palette. I’ve swatched each shade below to show you how beautiful the colors are. They are highly pigmented eye shadows that blend out with no effort at all. I’ll be experimenting with some of the brighter colors in the coming months. I’ll try to share a few pictures when I feel a little more confident about my application skills.
The Artist Palette, Volume 3 is made up of 9 shades inspired by a fresh blossoming spring bouquet. It was designed as three trios that can be used to create effortless looks. Of course you can use the shades in any combination that suits your needs. I’ve mostly been using the pink granite, black purple and golden pink so far. I really need to get more adventurous and try some of the shades that are out of my comfort zone.
What do you think of my Make Up For Ever red carpet makeup picks? Who wore some of your favorite gowns on the red carpet this year? Do you stalk the tv like I do?

Yes, she looked gorgeous! This palette is so very outside of my comfort zone, but I’m trying to branch out a little for spring. We’ll see what I come up with. Thanks for stopping by! Stacie xo

I think my favorite of the night was actually Jennifer Gardner, her dress was awesome!

I loved Jennifer Lawrence’s outfit as well but you’re spot on about a brighter lip colour. It would have made her even more wow.

The MUFE Artist Palette is at the very top of my Spring Wishlist. I think I’ll nab it when I get my tax refund back. MUFE products are some of my very favorites. I love their foundation and primers.

Jennifer’s dress was stunning — she’s always dressed so beautiful and I love her makeup! She slays the smokey eyes! Her hair, though, wasn’t my favorite. Still looks good on her — she looks beautiful no matter what — but not my favorite 🙂
