Optimistic Monday

January 21, 2013

Happy Monday Everyone!
I think Mondays make me happy because they are a new start to a brand new week.
How about you?  Do you dread Mondays or do you look forward to them?
My goals for last week:

1.  Walk 3 times this week.
I actually walked 4 times!
1/14/13 3.21 miles, 1/17/13 3.0 miles, 1/18/13 3.07 miles, 1/20/13 3.38 miles

2.  Start working on my daughter’s senior scrapbook.
I didn’t even think about this one.  I really need to get moving on this scrapbook or I’ll be regretting it the week that it’s due.  Okay, I’m getting on Shutterfly this week…

3.  Bake something with the dried cherries and almonds that I purchased last week.
I made some AMAZING Toasted Almond Cherry Oatmeal cookies from a recipe I found on Pinterest.  I ate waaayyy too many of them too.  That is why I added an extra walk this week.  LOL!

4.  Work on blog improvements.
I’m working on making my blog a more interesting place to visit.  I think it’s always a work in progress.

5.  Continue to purge from my closet.
I’ve continued to get rid of the items that I simply don’t wear.  I think this one will also always be a work in progress.

I know this is pretty pathetic.  This is only a section of the closet.  #hoarder

6.  Get those returns made to the stores.
Yes, I got my returns done for things that needed to go back to a variety of stores.

My goals for this week:

1.  Finish cleaning out my closet once and for all
This includes actually taking the items to a local charity.

2.  Register for the AIM at Melanoma walk that will take place in Dallas on May 4, 2013.
I will provide a link for donations soon.  My mom is one of the honorees for this year’s walk.  If you’re new to my blog, my mom passed away from melanoma in November and I am dedicated to raising money to find a cure.

3.  Walk 4 times.
We’re supposed to have warm temperatures this week in Texas so I’m hoping to walk outside rather than indoors at the mall.

4.  Film 2 YouTube videos this week.
I’d like to get back in the swing of things.

5.  Do some pilates to firm and tone a few areas that need some help since I will have to put my swimsuit on in less than 2 months on spring break.

What are you doing this week?

Link up below if you want to share your goals or a positive post.
I’d love to have you!

Me too! I’ve found that I feel somewhat more accountable because others are reading my posts on Mondays to see what I’ve done and I don’t want to let anyone down, etc. Have a great week! Stacie xo

Closets – the place where every week I make a note to clean it up. I’m just relieved I am not alone in this.

I started with an eyeshadow palette that has a variety of textures and shades in the rose family to create a million different looks. And yes, you can wear shimmers and whatever else makes you feel confident even if you’re a more mature woman.😎

You can’t go wrong any of the makeup brushes from BK Beauty to apply and blend your makeup. This eyeshadow brush is one of many that I love.

The foundation stick is new for me and I’m wondering where it’s been my whole life! It’s that good. Just swipe, blend and go. Available in so many shades that there’s one for everyone!🙌🏻

Adding depth and glow to the face couldn’t be easier with a multitasking palette of bronzer, highlighter and blush. It’s perfect for travel too.✨

The lip glow is fun because it’s a pH reactive one so it’s almost like having a custom shade that’s just for you.

Comment CODE for the link and my discount code that gets you 50% off your first two months.

It’s a great way to try beautiful bags without committing to a single bag. I’m having so much fun with this membership!👜

Thank you @vivrelle for the gift of this membership!
I’ve always been obsessed with pizza. I’ve attempt I’ve always been obsessed with pizza. I’ve attempted to make it at home many times and had too many failures to count. But not any more thanks to @pocobero and their delivery of NY-style pizza dough balls shipped straight to my door.

I had my kids and grandchildren over for swimming and make-your-own-pizzas this weekend. It was a total success. The flavor of the pizza crust was absolutely delicious. It tasted as good as being in a NYC pizzeria.

I see many more pizzas in my future.😎

I put all the veggies on my pizza. What are your favorite toppings?🍕🫑🍄‍🟫🧅

Thank you Poco Bero for the amazing gift!♥️

Question… do you want to see the duds too?

Today I shared jewelry from @analuisany that I have pretty much worn every single day for the last month. It lives up to its claims. I’m wearing a beautiful nude colored plumping tinted lip oil and silky lip liner from @purcosmetics and I love them too. They’re great everyday shades.
