We have a new addition to our family! If you didn’t already know, we lost our previous dog of 13 years to cancer this past winter. Since then we have had so many things happening such as moving, renovating, college graduation, family trips and more. We thought it was finally time to seek out the perfect puppy to add to the family. We ended up with a mixed breed. Our girl Palmer is half Goldendoodle and half Border Collie. She is cute as can be, but she’s giving us a run for our money. She’s already been to her first Puppy Preschool class. We’ll be working on crate training and more in the next few weeks. Wish me luck because I sure need it! I’ve never successfully trained a puppy before…
Meet our new puppy Palmer! She is named in honor of the late great Arnold Palmer.
I honestly haven’t been shopping for new beauty products in a long time since I receive so many PR samples for review. However, I recently decided that I needed a Sephora fix and ordered some new and old products to add to my current rotation.
The repeat product that I purchased is the Laura Mercier Baked Blush Bronzer in Ritual. This is actually my third time purchasing this gorgeous product. I like to use it as my blush and bronzer in one so that I don’t need to use addition products to get a pretty bronzed glow. This product used to be limited edition but Laura Mercier finally got smart and made it a permanent part of the line. This product retails for $42.
Now for some new beauty products that made their way into my basket…
I decided to purchase the new Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup. It has an SPF 30 which is perfect year round. I wear the shade 2C3 Fresco. I’ve been using a dome top foundation type brush to apply the product. It has a beautiful satin finish. It’s recommended for all skin types. I like that it’s lightweight and doesn’t feel heavy like the regular Double Wear can feel. This product retails for $42.
NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment is described as an innovative, weightless, matte liquid lip pigment with ultra-flexible, lasting wear. I bought the color called Save the Queen. It’s a beautiful dusty mauve color. The applicator is firm and pointed, which is perfect for precise application. A little bit of product goes a long way. This lasts for hours on my lips. I’ve eaten meals and even wiped my mouth with a napkin and I still have the lip color on my lips. This makes me very happy. You can see my other favorite long-lasting lip products HERE. This product retails for $26.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz has been around for a while, but I never tried it before. I’ve used several other brow pencils from the brand and thought I’d see if this one was as good as it’s reputation. I purchased the color Ebony to match my dark hair. In the past I tried the medium and dark brown shades and they were all too “brown” or warm for me. This shade matches much better. The tip is very thin which makes it easy to place the product exactly where I want it. The spooly on the opposite end is nice to have for brushing the brows. This product retails for $21.
