Makeup 101

My daughter and I recently attended a Jennifer Bradley Makeup 101 class in Dallas, Texas.  The class is offered in several different locations throughout the country.  Our class was with Steve.  He spent 2 full hours with us going over basic makeup application.  Since we already knew some techniques, he taught us a few of his advanced techniques as well.

He went over technique and then applied the makeup to our faces.  We started with fresh clean skin.  We then applied proper hydration to the face and around the eyes.  He used the Jennifer Bradley foundation.  We both loved this cream foundation so much that we ordered it so we can use it on our own.  It’s a great product because it’s basically a 4 in 1 type of product.

We then learned about contouring.  We both loved the contouring product so much that we ordered it as well.  Next came highlighting, bronzer and blush.  We learned how to apply a simple smokey eye.  We finished off our looks with some lipstick and a finishing powder.  Some of my pictures from the lesson are below.

You can look at Jennifer Bradley’s Youtube videos for makeup lessons and tips.  Jennifer Bradley is a celebrity makeup artist who has worked with many well known celebrities.  She has her own skincare and makeup line.  She also has a website that lists locations for her classes as well as a Facebook page.  We were VERY impressed with our lesson and look forward to more advanced lessons in the future.
