Korean Beauty Products

More and more beauty and skincare products are making their way to the US from other countries. I’ve tried many throughout the years and I’m often impressed. When it comes to skincare products, Korean or K-Beauty always come to mind. I recently received the JoahBox, a Korean beauty subscription box. Each JoahBox is curated with 5-7 full sized beauty products and includes makeup, skincare, haircare or beauty tools. The products are some of the best new items to hit the market. All items maintain “clean production processes and are free of harsh chemicals, are rooted in social values and are made with ethics in mind.”

I’m going to share the contents of the June box with you. The theme for the box is “Me, My Skin and I.” I had never used any of the products before receiving this month’s box so I was really excited to give them a try.

Time Stop Collagen Ampuole from The Plant Base – This skin product is formulated to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It has a large percentage of mushroom extract in it. It’s simple to add into one’s skincare routine because the product get patted into the skin after cleansing. MSRP $29

Galactomyces Drylock Mask from a brand named I’m Sorry for My Skin- This is quite interesting. It’s a mask that contains galactomyces, which is a fungus that helps nourish and revitalize skin while reducing signs of aging. I haven’t tried this mask yet, but I’m game. Why not? We put worse things on our faces that claim to be beneficial. I’ll let you know how I like this sheet mask. MSRP $10

Missha Volume Boost Mascara – I don’t go a day without mascara so I’m happy to try out this volume boosting mascara. This one has a no clumping, long lasting, easy to wash off formula. The brush is perfect at grabbing my lashes and I’m quite impressed with the volume that it gives. It definitely gives me nice length too, even though they have another mascara specifically designed for that. MSRP $9

Air-Fit Velvet Lipstick from RiRe – Lipstick is my favorite makeup product, so I was excited to see this in the box. This lightweight lipstick gives a pretty pop of color and feels good on my lips. MSRP $17.50

Aloe Vera Moisture Soothing Gel from Farm Stay – We all know the many uses for aloe vera. It can be used as a mask, a moisturizer, sunburn soother and more. I like that it’s in a very portable package. Put it in the fridge for an extra cooling effect. This product is mainly composed of aloe vera leaves and is free of mineral oil, artificial colors, benzophenone and parabens. MSRP $3
