Hello from 39,000 Feet!

I hope you’re all having a fabulous summer!  My life has been nothing but go, go, go all summer long.  I’ve been with my son at local golf tournaments as well as several out of town (Scotland, Abilene, Shreveport).  As you know, a round of golf entails at least 5-6 hours of my days.  I walk the course with him and fall into a bath and bed afterwards.  Nothing much else out of me on those days.

I was in Michigan with my family for a fabulous week long vacation. The weather was so pleasant in both southern and northern Michigan this year.  We cooled off and loved every second of it.  We got back home on Thursday evening.  Friday morning was spent at a funeral.  Sad day.  One of my husband’s best friends passed away while we were in Michigan.  Many of you in the US may have heard of Kidd Kraddick.  He was a big radio personality.  He touched many lives and will be missed.

Now I’m on the plane traveling to Florida.  My girls and I are visiting my dad who coincidently is in the hospital again.  We’re hoping that he’s discharged by tomorrow.  It’s also my nephew’s 3rd birthday.  I was present at his birth and was the one to cut the cord so he’s a very special one to me.  On Sunday we’re supposed to go to the cemetery to visit my mom and have a little service.  So this will be a happy and a sad trip all in one.
