Happy 4th of July!

Wow! What a whirlwind my life has been lately. I went with my husband and 3 teens to our vacation house in California for a very short few days. We had beautiful weather (mid 60’s and sunny) and a wonderful time.

We arrived home from California on Saturday night and I was up at the crack of dawn on Sunday to go to the airport for a flight to Florida. I went to visit my parents for 3 short days. My trip was filled with many memorable moments with my parents who are in poor health. I took my mom to her chemotherapy appointment. That was an eye opening experience even though she was unable to receive her therapy that day due to low blood counts. Thankfully she was able to receive and iv dose of anti-nausea medicines to help in that area. I cleaned and cleaned their condo to help make their environment better and did all that I could to provide comfort to them both. I was sad to leave but happy to come home to my husband and kids.

We have a tradition at our house on the 4th of July. We go to our country club for a morning of Hooks and Slices. Families compete in a variety of activities that include golfing, fishing and target practice with paint ball guns. This year our family came in second place. Tonight will be games, relay races, bbq and a private fireworks show.
