Some Favorites and Fails from Pixi by Petra

Today you are in for a treat as I have a whole bunch of fabulous products from Pixi Beauty to review. This is one of my favorite beauty lines and I’ve done several reviews in the past. To be honest though, I loved most of these current items, but there were a couple that just didn’t really work for me so I’m going to call this my favorites and fails from Pixi by Petra. Let’s get the fails out of the way first.
Pixi by Petra mascara and primer
I will preface this by saying I have board straight eyelashes, so I have to use waterproof mascara if I want my lashes to hold a curl. Even though the mascara isn’t waterproof, I thought I’d give it a try. I curled my lashes first, then used the primer. It’s a nice consistency and the brush made it easy to apply. However, as soon as I put it on, my lashes fell flat. I allowed the primer to dry, curled my lashes once more, and tried the Large Lash Mascara. It was hard to get my lashes to curl much after I had applied the primer, but the mascara on top did help give me a little curl.

As you can see, it definitely added some length to my lashes, which I loved. It did clump a bit, but I’m not sure if that was the mascara or the primer.
I decided to try the mascara as a second coat on top of my regular waterproof mascara along with some of the fabulous Endless Silky Eye Pens I got to try.
Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pens
Look at these gorgeous colors!
I used the Endless Silky Eye Pen in Black Blue on my top waterline, and the Eye Bright Liner on my lower waterline which I loved! I did a super closeup  of my eyes so you could see the definition of my lashes as well as the liners. I loved both the liners, the Endless Silky Eye Pen goes on so smoothly, and I definitely found my eyes to be brighter using the Eye Bright Liner. Those two have made it into my every day makeup routine.
I did like the mascara as a second coat, but it was still a bit clumpy for my liking.
The next two products I tried were the Palette Chloette and the Lip Icing from the Pixi + Chloe Morello collaboration.
Both of these were big winners for me! First off, the palette… It is beautiful, and goes on so smoothly. I wore it all day and it looked as good as when I first put it on. I really loved the eye shadow.
Here’s a look of my whole face, using the Palette Chloette and the Lip Icing. For this photo, I just used the Lip Icing on top my natural lips, and it adds the most perfect sheen. I also used the following Pixi Beauty products:

A second coat of mascara with the Large Lash Mascara.

Let me tell you, I am using more and more Pixi Beauty in my makeup routine and have been so pleasantly surprised by how much I love them all.

Let me know if you have any favorites and fails from Pixi by Petra.

They are really the easiest eye pencils to apply that I’ve tried in a long time. You’ll love them!

So I pretty much had the opposite experience than you did. I love the lash primer and mascara, LOVE the liners, but Chloe Palette was a disappoint for me–not enough pigment. I also love the lip icing and it smells great too!

I figured the lash primer and mascara didn’t work for me because of my super straight lashes…glad they worked for you!

That bottom picture is beautiful. I can’t wear an eyelash primer since my lashes always fall with one on, they are too heavy for my wimpy lashes. I enjoy that palette so that one is a winner for me also.

Yep, primers make my wimpy lashes fall immediately as well. Love that palette so much!

The Large Lash Mascara didn’t work for me either. I am decluttering it from my stash. That palette is very pretty, though.

At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consisten At 61 years old, I’ve never been able to consistently use a retinol product until now because I couldn’t handle the dry, irritated skin that I experienced when using them. #OlayPartner

@olay has this new Retinol 24 Starter that’s intentionally made for beginners and/or people with sensitive skin like me. I’m now able to get the “gold standard” benefits recommended by dermatologists with this gentler formula to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots and improve texture.

It’s formulated with Pro-Retinol, Triple Collagen Peptide and Aloe Vera to reveal the smoother, brighter skin that’s been unreachable until now.

And if you’re a long-time user of retinol products, they have several stronger formulas that you can check out too.

New users and those of us with sensitive skin can conveniently purchase this gentler formula at our favorite retailers or online. Give it a try. I think you’ll be as impressed as I am.

As a matter of fact, I already repurchased the vitamins and prebiotics and probiotics supplement. I didn’t know Kourtney Kardashian was the owner of that brand. I only had 1 fail this time which was the terrible tasting creatine gummies. I don’t like stevia, but if you do then you may like with them.
