Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque Review

I received a deluxe sized sample of the Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque several months ago and wanted to do a complete review for you today.  This product is made by Pur Minerals.  This is a brand that I’ve loved for many years now.  I really like, or rather love their CC Cream and use it almost every day and talk about it quite often in my Youtube videos.

Several days ago I was experiencing weird hormonal skin and wanted to calm it down.  I rummaged through a big jar of samples that I’ve been wanting to try and found the Dirty Girl Detoxifying Masque.  This product is supposed to:

• Exfoliate and unclog pores
• Eliminates excess oil, dirt and impurities
• Creates a smoother, clearer complexion
• Won’t dry out or irritate skin

Key ingredients include the following (from the Pur Minerals website):

• Calcium Bentonite – Unclogs pores and eliminates impurities
• Cucumber Extract – Soothes and calms the skin’s appearance
• Salicylic Acid – Gently exfoliates and renews

So, what did I think??  First things first, this masque looks like melted milk chocolate when you squeeze it from the tube.  That’s a plus to me since I love my chocolate.  Haha!  I applied a liberal amount of the product to cleansed skin then laid back and soaked in the tub.  You’re supposed to leave the masque on for 5 to 20 minutes.  It immediately began to dry.  As it dried on my skin I felt a burning sensation on my forehead area which was not comfortable.  Therefore I removed the masque with warm water after only about 7 minutes.

I did not like the burning sensation on my skin, however I really liked the way my skin felt and looked after it was removed.  I recommend getting a sample and trying this masque for yourself when your skin needs a good detoxifying treatment.
