Hello! Tamara here once again. I recently received some goodies from Stacie and was so thrilled to see Derma E in the box. I have been using their Vitamin C Concentrated Serum for about six months now and liked it enough that I wanted to try some more of their products. Needless to say, I was really excited that she had also included their Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer.
The packaging for the Derma E Vitamin C skincare products
Directions on how to use the products can be seen on the labeling.
It’s only been within the last year that I have started using Vitamin C products in my skin care routine but, I feel confident in saying that no single ingredient has made a bigger or more positive change in my skin than Vitamin C. It has brightened my skin, faded dark spots, and made my skin look and feel smoother and more even.
I have incorporated these two Derma E products into my morning routine. I wash and tone, then apply the Derma E Vitamin C Serum followed by the Derma E Moisturizer. I keep my morning routine pretty simple because I have a teenager and a four year old diva to deal with every morning. I know that the more complicated I make it, the less likely I am to follow through. The fact that this serum and moisturizer are so easy to use and quickly absorb into my skin make them a perfect fit for me.
The serum is light and refreshing feeling. It goes on easy and doesn’t feel too sticky or tacky. The moisturizer is also light and almost has a gel-like feel to it. Having combo/oily skin makes this formula exactly what I’m looking for in the morning. It absorbs very quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. It plays well with my makeup and I’m not left feeling greasy or oily throughout the day as I’ve experienced with other moisturizers. I also like the fact that these products have other ingredients that are beneficial for my aging skin. The serum also has Hyaluronic Acid, Soothing Aloe, and Vitamin E. The moisturizer includes Probiotics and Rooibos.
So, what makes these better than other Vitamin C products? Well, there are several different kinds of vitamin c and many of them are considered unstable. They oxidize, are finicky about storage, have a short shelf life, and actually turn bad. The color changes, they put off a very unpleasant smell, and they lose their potency or even worse, they can actually cause damage if applied to your skin. The Vitamin C that is used in Derma E products is called Stay-C 50 and is considered far more stable. It does not evaporate or degrade before being absorbed into your skin.
Verdict:
I’m very pleased with these products from Derma E. They are effective and affordable and I enjoy using them in my morning routine.
Have you tried any Derma E skin care products? Do you use Vitamin C in your skin care routine? What are your favorites? Let me know in the comments.
Derma-E is such an incredible brand. I have yet to try something from them that I didn’t really like!
I agree! They always impress me too! Thanks for reading 🙂
I’m a fan of vitamin C serum and other skincare products too. In fact, I’m on the hunt for a 30% C serum right now. Another thing that can make vitamin C skincare smell is the Ferulic Acid that some brands use along with vitamin C – it doesn’t have the greatest smell

I know that smell! It’s very unpleasant. That’s another reason I love this Derma E…it has very little smell to it. Thanks for reading!
Derma E makes great skincare!

I’ve used Dermae in the past and really enjoyed the products. It seems like they’ve revamped the line to be even better. I know it’s considered to be one of the best cruelty free brands too.

Vitamin C serums are my jam, when battling post-acne hyperpigmentation. It’s great to see so many stable formulations of Vit C coming out now.
Yes! It has certainly improved my dark spots! Glad it worked for you as well!
I am such a huge fan of these serums from Derma E, but Derma E in general has been my go-to along with a few other brands I love. I love the price point and how my sensitive skin can easily adjust and adapt to them 🙂
It is a great brand! I love how ingredient conscience they! Thanks for reading!
Vitamin C goes bad?! I feel a little behind now…. I’ve only tried one Bit C serum, Eva Naturals’ C+, I wonder how it would compare to the Derma-E serum. I love the changes I’ve seen with mine.
It’s pretty impressive isn’t it? Yes, it can go bad, but you’ll know if it does. It’s not subtle at all. Lol. Thanks for commenting!
Thanks for your review- I was looking at their moisturizer but was unsure about trying it.
You’re welcome! I really enjoy it!
I have been trying to incorporate Vitamin C into my skincare routine. But, the ones that I have tried I haven’t liked. I have one that actually feels gritty and a vitamin c oil but that just feels like an oil slick.
After reading your review I’m definitely going to try the Derma-E.
Thank you for the review!!
It’s really very gentle and easy to use. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for reading!

I’ve been hearing a lot about derma e in the last year i haven’t tried the brand and I’m wondering what stores sells it now
I get mine from Ulta but I’ve seen it on Amazon and Dermstore.
Ps: Ulta has it on sale often 😉
I’ve been pleased with the products I’ve tried. My latest one id the microdermabrasion cream – it works well. I’d have to give the vitamin C products a try.
I need to try the microdermabrasion cream next. The Vitamin C has done wonders for my skin.
I have never heard of derma e products until now. I have looking for something new to use now that I am well into my 40’s . These sound great.
I’m in my 40’s as well and I’m so pleased with how this has improved my skin. It’s definitely worth a try!
I am seriously going to buy some for myself. I have been looking for an affordable face cream that works. I’m 33 and the signs that I am aging are more obvious to me everyday. But I’m too young to look as dull and tired as I do. I’m going to give this a try.
I’m very impressed with these, especially considering how affordable they are. Check them out on Ulta’s website…they have them on sale often. They’ve made such a difference for me!
Product seems good. I’ve never used this product but I would like to use it now. I hope it works for me too.
