Personalized Skincare Prescription by Mail

How would you like to have a single product that contains three ingredients that are customized to your own personal skin care needs? When I saw the company called Curology and read about them I knew this was something that I wanted to try. As you know from my blog, I’m willing to try nearly all topical skincare treatments that promise to anti-age my skin. The concept that is behind this company’s methods really intrigued me.

The process is actually very simple. You sign up by answering a survey about your skin as well as answering questions about medications you’ve tried in the past. You then upload a few photos of yourself without makeup so the healthcare providers on the Curology team can see you current skin condition. A customized medication is formulated for each patient based on their needs. The bottle is shipped to your home. You then decide how often you would like to receive future bottles of medication (once or twice per month). You can cancel your account at any time as well as message your medical provider with questions or concerns.

Curology anti-aging skincare

One bottle of personalized medication costs $19.95 per month. However, when you sign up you get a free trial bottle and only pay for the shipping which is $4.95. They also offer a 90 day money back guarantee. Some of the skin issues addressed are acne, wrinkles, dark spots, skin texture, skin firmness and more. I believe they offer topical medications and sometimes prescribe oral medications if indicated.

Above is my personalized bottle of medication. It contains:

  1. Tretinoin – a pore-cleansing, acne-busting, and anti-aging all in one ingredient. I was happy to see the .012% as my skin is very sensitive to this ingredient and this is actually the lowest dose I’ve ever seen.
  2. Vitamin C 5% – stimulates collagen production to reduce fine lines and hyperpigmentation.
  3. Niacinimide 4% – a form of B3 that acts as an antioxidant, reducing inflammation, hyperpigmentation and fine lines.

The bottle come with instructions to apply a dime size amount to face and neck to clean, dry skin in the evenings. I’ve been using this for just a few days now, so I obviously don’t see any differences in my skin. However, my skin feels nice and soft and has no irritation from the ingredients.  I’m hopeful that this super combination of ingredients will have some anti-aging effects on my skin. I’m hoping that this is a winning combination for me. I’ve never seen Tretinoin mixed together with these other ingredients. I’ll update after a few months of use. Stacie xo

I have been curious about Cureology, too! I just started back on Tretinion. So, I would be curious to see the difference in using this product that has Tretinion mixed with other ingredients versus just using it plain. Also, I like the idea of the strength of the Tretinion being customized. Looking forward to reading your updates on how you like this product and service!
