My last 4 manicures have been done using the new Creative Nail Design Vinylux polish. This is a new polish system created to look similar to gel polish without the hassle. Why do I say no hassle? Because gel polish manicures require curing under a lamp of some sort (either UV or LED). In addition, the gel polish must be removed by a lengthy soaking session to basically dissolve and lift the gel polish off the nails. The excess time soaking really dried my nails out and made them feel extremely sensitive. No thanks!
This new CND polish requires none of the above. You simply use 2 coats of the polish followed by one coat of the top coat. No base coat. No lamps needed. In literally 5 minutes time you are ready to go. The polish cures and hardens on it’s own. Best yet… the manicure lasts on me for the entire 7 days that the label suggests. To remove the polish you use regular polish remover and remove like all other polish brands. No special process needed. Please note that this polish and topcoat are designed for natural nails only.
This is a fresh manicure with the color Rubble |
The only con that I have found with this polish is a bit of staining to my nails. This is due to the red and ruby like colors that I chose for my past 2 manicures. There is no base coat so the polish is absorbed more into the natural nail bed (just my educated opinion). A very light buffing with a fine nail buffer took care of the staining in about 5 seconds per nail.
This manicure is 5 days old with the color Scarlet Letter. |
I purchased 2 bottles of this polish along with the top coat at a beauty supply store when I was in San Francisco. I like to have my own polishes to use between manicures at the salon. The retail cost was $9.95 per bottle. However, I know that my manicurist pays only $4.95 per bottle because I pick out colors with her from the CND catalog. I have seen the polish for sale on the internet for lower prices than what I paid.
I highly recommend this polish if you have natural nails and need something that lasts a long time. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Stacie!
I found your blog through “Passionfruit” and I’m your newest “sponsor”:) Excited to advertise with you 🙂 Also looking forward to read through your blog^^
This really sounds like my type of polish, I never manage to sit still long enough for my polish to dry. But 5 mins? I can do that 🙂 Also I hate polish that don’t last longer than 2 days! I think I prefer the color “Rubble” 🙂 xx
