Have you tried the brand new Clinique Pop Lipstick yet? This are a brand new formula from Clinique released in the spring of 2015. They are unique in that they are a multi-tasking product that is a primer and lipstick in one. Any time us ladies can cut down on the steps involved in our beauty and makeup routines we’re happy. These lipsticks retail for $18 and can be purchased at all locations that sell Clinique including Sephora, Nordstrom, etc. They are available in 16 colors, from nudes to bright and vibrant. The formula is described as being demi-matte. Some of the colors have sparkle in them and others do not. I purchased three colors without having the ability to swatch them first as there were no testers available at my Sephora store.
Clinique describes these products as: Luxurious yet weightless formula merges bold, saturated colour with a smoothing primer. Glides on effortlessly to a modern-velvet finish. Colour stays true, keeps lips comfortably moisturized for 8 hours. Allergy Tested. 100% Fragrance Free.
Verdict: I really like these lipsticks! The three that I purchased are nice and different from each other. The Bare Pop is the only one that has some sparkly glitter in it. The glitter seems to stay behind and cling to my lips after the color itself has worn off. If you don’t care for the glitter effect, do not get this one or any of the others that have glitter in them. The formula is described as demi-matte. I think they have a nice shine to them and are not drying to the lips. These are fairly long-lasting. I’ve gotten more wear time out of the brighter colors than the nude one. I think the price point on these lipsticks is good. I think that Clinique has a great product here that will be mimicked by other lines in the future. I’m already making my list of additional colors that I want to purchase. You can click HERE for additional information on purchasing these lipsticks.
P.S. I went back and purchased another Pop Lipstick in the color Plum Pop. It’s SO pretty!!
